Energy Consultant (Client Engagement & Procurement)
F&D Partners is an energy consulting firm specializing in electricity and natural gas procurement, market intelligence, and cost optimization for large commercial and institutional clients across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the UK and Ireland.
We are seeking a highly driven and analytical Account Executive to support our continued growth by managing client relationships, presenting strategic energy solutions, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. This position plays a key role in expanding our presence and requires a professional who can confidently engage with decision-makers, analyze energy strategies, and deliver clear, value-driven recommendations.
Beyond client engagement, the role is responsible for sourcing electricity and natural gas commodity supply offers and agreements across all deregulated power and gas markets. Working with a national network of retail energy suppliers the consultant will lead energy analysis, product recommendation and implementation, tariff and load analysis, market assessment, and overall risk management to support executable buying strategies for commercial and institutional clients.

Schedule: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM EST (Monday–Friday)
Key Responsibilities
Client Engagement & Sales
● Engage with U.S.-based clients via phone, Zoom, and email
● Build and maintain relationships with property managers, ownership groups, and key decision-makers
● Manage follow-ups, proposals, and ongoing client communication
Client Advisory & Energy Strategy
● Analyze client energy usage, pricing structures, and procurement strategies
● Present tailored recommendations to reduce costs and improve efficiency
● Advise clients on market trends, contract timing, and risk management strategies
Sales Execution & Pipeline Management
● Prepare and deliver proposals, pricing comparisons, and financial analyses
● Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting using CRM tools (e.g., Pipedrive, Salesforce)
● Consistently meet or exceed sales targets and performance metrics
Market & Industry Awareness
● Stay informed on energy market trends, regulatory updates, and pricing dynamics
● Leverage market insights to identify opportunities and strengthen client positioning
● Represent F&D Partners in client meetings, presentations, and industry settings
Procurement, Pricing & Risk Management
● Source electricity and natural gas commodity supply offers and agreements across all deregulated power and gas markets
● Present pricing recommendations to internal teams and client management
● Facilitate the contracting process, including confirming contract executions with suppliers and processing contract data for internal records
● Conduct tariff and load analysis and develop market intelligence to recommend executable buying strategies
● Maintain and organize pricing data and supplier communications, and assist in distributing market intelligence across the firm
Qualifications
● Fluent in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
● Proven track record in business development (2-4+ years of experience in sales) and closing deals
● Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
● Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, tables, and basic analysis)
● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
● Comfortable presenting to executives and decision-makers
● Reliable internet connection and a professional remote work setup
● Proficiency in CRM platforms (Pipedrive, Salesforce) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
● Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
Preferred Qualifications
● Experience working with U.S.-based clients.
● Familiarity with energy markets, utility billing, or procurement
● Familiarity with financial modeling, budgeting, or cost-avoidance analysis
● Background in energy commodities operations, hedging strategies, and retail pricing analytics.
● Experience with CRM platforms (Pipedrive or similar)
