Operations is a dynamic, multi-faceted division that partners with all parts of the firm to provide banking, securities, and asset management services to clients around the world. For every new product launched and every trade executed, it is Operations that develops and manages the processes and controls that enable business flow.
Operations span all product lines and markets, serving as internal business partners who develop the processes and controls, and help to specify the systems that deliver accuracy, timeliness, and integrity to our business.
YOUR IMPACT
Loan Operations is responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate transaction processing across a broad range of products. Generally, the products supported are complex instruments that require close alignment with the business. A key focus for the organization is establishing strong risk management procedures and controls to ensure the firm and our clients are properly protected.
The functional processes managed by the Servicing Team are primarily aligned to the loan life cycle: from Origination; Initial Commitment to the loan; Trade Settlement; Drawdown/funding; Scheduled/Unscheduled Pay-downs; reconciliation of cash/position breaks; as well as the ongoing management of information related to our portfolio of loans.
This role provides a high level of interaction with revenue desks, sales, external agents, as well as exposure to compliance, credit, regulatory teams, treasury, technology, and other Operations areas to ensure we provide excellent client service to our wide client base.
HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the bank loan business through servicing a portfolio of syndicated corporate bank debt.

- Showcase your ability to function as a team player in a highly collaborative environment while working closely with internal stakeholders such as Business Groups, Legal, Tax, Controllers, Technology, Compliance, etc.
- Collaborate with Global teams in New York, Dallas, London, Bengaluru, and Asia on initiatives supporting the loans market.
- Participate in industry initiatives facilitated by the Loan Syndication and Trading Association (LSTA) & Loan Market Association(LMA)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Loan Administration & Processing
- Execute end-to-end loan lifecycle activities including drawdowns, rollovers, conversions, renewals, repayments, and fee processing for syndicated and bilateral facilities.
- Analyse and interpret credit agreements and complex deal structures to ensure accurate transaction execution.
- Process amendments, extensions, and modifications in line with contractual terms.
- Ensure timely and accurate disbursement of loan proceeds.
- Maintain and update loan systems with high data integrity.
- Board new facilities, including associated collateral, guarantors, and documentation.
Operational Control & Reconciliation
- Investigate and resolve breaks across cash accounts, past dues, suspense balances, and funding discrepancies.
- Perform complex interest and fee calculations, adjustments, and accruals.
- Execute daily, monthly, and periodic controls in line with defined SLAs.
- Review operational reports to validate completeness and accuracy of processing activities.
Risk & Compliance
- Ensure all transactions are processed in accordance with credit agreements, internal policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Uphold strong control standards to minimise operational risk and losses.
- Identify, assess, and escalate process risks and control gaps as required.
Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with borrowers, agent banks, and participant lenders to resolve queries and exceptions.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Credit, Legal, Underwriting, Relationship Management, Technology) to support transaction execution and servicing.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure all prerequisites are met for facility onboarding and ongoing servicing.
- Process loan-related payments across FED, CHIPS, and SWIFT channels.
Process Improvement & Reporting
- Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with stakeholders to implement scalable and sustainable process enhancements.
- Produce management reports and MIS on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis to support decision-making.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years of experience in syndicated loan operations, loan servicing, or a similar banking/financial services role.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of syndicated loan structures, credit agreements, and loan documentation.
- Hands-on experience with loan systems such as Loan IQ, ACBS, WSO, or ClearPar.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong data analysis and reconciliation skills.
- Working knowledge of financial statements and their operational impact.
