Full job description

Role : Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst
Location : Bengaluru

Overview :

We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst to lead QA strategy and execution for complex, enterprise applications. You will define testing approaches, manage end-to-end and regression testing, drive quality improvements across the SDLC in an Agile environment, and mentor junior QAs. Strong experience with test management tools, defect tracking, and enterprise integrations (Pega experience preferred) is required.

As a Senior Software Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be a quality leader and hands-on tester responsible for ensuring that complex features and system integrations meet business and technical requirements. You will define and implement testing strategies and standards, lead end-to-end and regression testing for major releases, and embed shift-left practices to catch defects early. Working closely with product owners, developers, and business analysts, you will translate user stories into thorough test coverage, run manual and exploratory tests, and ensure traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects.

Key responsibilities:

Lead QA initiatives and continuous process improvements; establish and maintain testing standards and quality metrics
Define and implement testing strategies for complex features, integrations, and end-to-end business processes
Analyze user stories and requirements; design, write, and execute comprehensive sprint and regression test cases
Convert sprint test cases to regression suite artifacts and maintain organized test case management in ALM Octane (or similar)
Perform static testing during estimations and grooming; estimate testing effort and complexity for stories
Lead release-level end-to-end testing and coordinate cross-system integration testing
Log, track, and prioritize defects in VersionOne / Digital.AI (or similar); participate in defect triage and drive resolution
Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (planning, daily standups, retrospectives, demos) and collaborate on backlog refinement
Mentor and train junior QA analysts on testing techniques, tools, and best practices; promote a culture of quality and continuous learning

Required Qualification:

5+ years of progressive experience in software quality assurance, including leading testing efforts for enterprise applications
Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and influencing quality across teams
Hands-on experience with test case management tools (ALM Octane or similar) and defect tracking/project management tools (VersionOne / Digital.AI or similar)
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies, test design techniques, requirements analysis, and static testing
Experience testing complex integrations, end-to-end processes, and domain knowledge with Order Management or similar business applications
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results

Preferred qualifications:

UI automation experience with Playwright (JavaScript) or similar frameworks (Selenium, Cypress)
API automation experience with Playwright, Postman, or equivalent tools
Programming/scripting knowledge in JavaScript and experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Pega platform experience highly preferred
