Job Description

Key Responsibilities
â€¢ Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and modern frameworks
â€¢ Own end-to-end delivery of features â€” from design to production support
â€¢ Contribute to Microservices architecture, including service decomposition, API design, and inter-service communication
â€¢ Ensure code quality, testability, and maintainability through best practices and standards
â€¢ Participate in architecture and design discussions, influencing technical decisions
â€¢ Identify and address performance, scalability, and reliability bottlenecks
â€¢ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, QA, DevOps, and external stakeholders
â€¢ Mentor junior developers and contribute to engineering best practices
â€¢ Drive CI/CD, automation, and DevSecOps practices
â€¢ Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing

Technical Skills & Experience
â€¢ Strong expertise in Java (Java 8+) and Spring Boot ecosystem
â€¢ Experience building Microservices-based architectures and RESTful APIs
â€¢ Hands-on with JPA/Hibernate, database design, and performance tuning (PostgreSQL or similar)
â€¢ Experience with Messaging systems (Kafka / RabbitMQ / MQ) and event-driven architectures
â€¢ Familiarity with Containerization (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
â€¢ Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitHub Actions), code quality tools (SonarQube)
â€¢ Strong understanding of design patterns, distributed systems, and API design principles
â€¢ Experience with unit/integration testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito, etc.)

Good to Have
â€¢ Experience in Travel / Airline / Hospitality domain
â€¢ Exposure to Kubernetes and cloud-native architectures
â€¢ Knowledge of Observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry)
â€¢ Experience in High-volume transaction systems

Qualifications
â€¢ 7+ years of professional Java development experience.
â€¢ Bachelorâ€™s or masterâ€™s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
