Full job description

Position:

This role supports Deltatre's FP&A and Accounting teams in running the finance activities that connect across the group — multiple entities across Europe and the US, multiple currencies, multiple monthly close cycles. The work is detail-driven and cyclical: monthly client settlements, journal entries, tax reconciliations, and the supporting documentation that keeps the group's financial reporting accurate.

Please note, for this role you must be able to work on a hybrid basis with at least 2 days working in the Mumbai office in Andheri.

Responsibilities

Client settlements

Prepare monthly settlement reports for clients, ensuring accuracy and completeness
Record journal entries to offset revenue share against settlements
Distribute monthly settlements to clients and coordinate collection of related invoices
Journalise client settlement invoices in the accounting system
Work with the Accounting team to approve client settlement payments before bank processing
Support accurate application of settlement payments in the accounting system

Indirect tax

Perform monthly indirect tax reconciliations between internal reporting and AvaTax, coordinating with the Accounting team
Support preparation of indirect tax invoices to clients
Support preparation and filing of indirect tax returns

Variable billing and ad hoc

Obtain, calculate, and input variable usage amounts for customer billing and revenue calculations
Support the wider finance team with ad hoc work as required

Requirements:

You treat accuracy as a craft. You notice small inconsistencies before they compound, you work closely with both Accounting and FP&A without confusing the boundary between them, and you take responsibility for the quality of what you hand off. You see month-end as a discipline, not a sprint.

Required

3+ years' experience in finance and accounting
Advanced MS Excel skills
Excellent written and spoken English (the working language)
Solid knowledge of basic accounting procedures and journal entry mechanics
Organised and consistent in handling regular reporting cycles
Strong attention to detail

Valued

Experience with Oracle NetSuite
Experience with AvaTax or comparable indirect tax software
Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency finance operations
Experience supporting both Accounting and FP&A functions in a group structure

1-hour Competency Based Interview: we are going to ask you some situational questions around how you deal with real-life scenarios at work. Easier doing it, more than explaining it!
