About RIKATEK Innovations Pvt. Ltd.
RIKATEK Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is a technology-driven startup building RIKA — a safety and emergency response platform combining a wearable device, mobile application, and coordinated response system. Our mission is to ensure individuals can access timely help during emergencies, creating a connected network between users, emergency contacts, and response authorities.
We are in active MVP development, working toward a hardware demonstration in August 2026, and building our brand and community presence in parallel.
Position Overview
We are looking for a creative, self-driven Social Media & Content Creation Intern to build and manage RIKA’s online presence from the ground up.
This is a ground-floor opportunity — you will not be joining an existing team and maintaining a running calendar. You will be helping build the brand identity, content strategy, and community voice for a mission-driven startup focused on women’s safety. Your work will directly shape how RIKA is perceived by its earliest users, partners, and supporters.
You will work directly with the Founder and have real creative ownership, not just execution of a pre-approved content queue.
Platforms You Will Manage
- Instagram — primary community-building platform; Reels, Stories, carousels, awareness campaigns
- LinkedIn — founder thought-leadership, partnership outreach, hiring posts, milestone announcements
- YouTube / Reels / Shorts — short-form video content, product explainers, behind-the-scenes
- WhatsApp — community group management for early users, volunteers, and supporters
Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation
- Develop original content across Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube Shorts, and WhatsApp
- Design graphics, carousels, and static posts (using Canva or equivalent tools)
- Script, shoot (self-directed or coordinated), and edit short-form video content for Reels and Shorts
- Write captions, hooks, and copy that are on-brand, clear, and shareable
- Translate RIKA’s mission (safety, emergency response, women’s empowerment) into content that builds trust rather than alarm
Strategy & Planning
- Build and maintain a monthly content calendar across all platforms
- Develop content pillars aligned with RIKA’s brand (education, community, build-in-public, product)
- Research trending formats, audio, and hooks relevant to the safety/social-impact space
- Plan and execute the “Shielding Spirits” awareness campaign and similar themed content series
Community Management
- Respond to comments, DMs, and messages across platforms in a timely, brand-consistent voice
- Manage the RIKA WhatsApp community — onboarding new members, sharing updates, keeping engagement active
- Identify and engage with relevant communities, NGOs, college groups, and influencers in the safety/women’s empowerment space
- Help build the early volunteer and user base through community-driven activities
Analytics & Reporting
- Track performance of posts and campaigns (reach, engagement, follower growth)
- Provide a brief weekly update to the Founder on what’s working and what to adjust
- Use insights to iterate content strategy over time
Content pillars to build around
1. Education — safety awareness, statistics, tips (handled with care — focus on empowerment, not fear)
2. Build-in-public — MVP progress, founder journey, why we’re building this
3. Community — volunteer spotlights, partner features, user stories
4. Product — app demos, ring explainers, SOS workflow walkthroughs (once MVP is ready)
Required Skills
- Proficiency with Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and WhatsApp as content platforms
- Canva or equivalent graphic design tool for post and carousel creation
- Basic video editing for Reels/Shorts (CapCut, InShot, or similar)
- Strong written communication in English (Hindi/Gujarati a bonus)
- Ability to work independently and manage a content calendar without daily supervision
- Genuine interest in social impact, women’s safety, or technology-for-good
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience managing a brand or personal social media account with measurable growth
- Understanding of Instagram algorithm, Reels trends, and LinkedIn content best practices
- Experience with social media scheduling tools (Buffer, Later, or similar)
- Basic photography or video shooting skills (phone-based is fine)
- Experience creating content for NGOs, startups, or social-impact brands
- Copywriting or storytelling experience
Eligibility
- Students in Mass Communication, Media Studies, Marketing, or related fields
- Students from any background with a strong portfolio of self-created content
- Recent graduates looking for hands-on startup experience
Candidates with an active personal brand, a content portfolio, or demonstrated growth on any platform will be strongly preferred over those with only academic credentials.
What You Will Gain
- Real creative ownership: you are building a brand from scratch, not maintaining someone else’s template
- Direct founder access: work alongside the Founder with fast feedback loops and real decision-making influence
- Portfolio-worthy work: everything you build is public, shareable, and attributable to you
- Certificate of Internship upon successful completion
- Letter of Recommendation based on performance — written specifically to reflect the actual work you did, not a generic template
- Startup ecosystem exposure: experience building a brand for a social-impact tech startup during its most formative early stage
- Long-term opportunity: exceptional performers may be considered for a paid role as RIKATEK grows post-pilot
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Creates content because they enjoy it, not just because it’s assigned
- Can write a caption that stops someone mid-scroll and also write a LinkedIn post that gets shared by professionals
- Cares about the mission — safety and emergency response is not a neutral category, and the content needs to reflect that without being exploitative or fear-driven
- Is comfortable with ambiguity and can structure their own week without being micromanaged
- Takes feedback well and iterates quickly
- Is excited by the idea of their work being seen by thousands of people before the company is even officially launched
How to Apply
Interested candidates should send the following to the email address below:
- Your resume / CV
- Links to any social media accounts, content portfolios, or campaigns you have managed or contributed to
- 3–5 examples of content you have created (posts, Reels, carousels, videos — anything that represents your best work)
- A brief note on why you want to work on a safety-focused product specifically — not a generic cover letter

A note on this role
This internship is unpaid. We want to be upfront about that rather than bury it.
In return, we are offering real creative ownership of a brand being built from zero, direct access to the founding team, and work that will be publicly visible and portfolio-attributable from day one.
If you are looking for a stipend, this is not the right fit right now. If you are looking for work that matters and a portfolio piece you can genuinely be proud of — we would like to hear from you.
