Job Summary
Key ResponsibilitiesPlatform Operations & AdministrationInstall, configure, patch, and upgrade webMethods components (IS, API Gateway, UM/Broker, TN, MFT) across dev/test/prod.Manage packages, services, connections, triggers, ports, keystores/truststores, and scheduler settings.Administer Universal Messaging/Broker: realms, channels/topics, connection factories, and client access.Maintain B2B/EDI via Trading Networks: partner profiles, processing rules, monitoring, and error handling.Oversee MFT endpoints, certificates, file transfers, and governance.Availability, Performance & CapacityConfigure HA/DR (clustering, session replication, failover) and backup/restore procedures.Monitor system health (threads, JVM, memory/GC, connection pools, broker realms) and optimize performance.Capacity planning for CPU/memory/IO; plan scale‑out/scale‑up; manage environment sizing and growth.Security & ComplianceEnforce authentication/authorization (users/groups/roles, ACLs) and RBAC.Configure mTLS/TLS, cipher suites, certificates (issuance/rotation), IP allowlisting, and API policies (rate limiting, WAF rules).Integrate with Identity Providers (e.g., Microsoft Entra ID/Okta) and secrets management (e.g., Azure Key Vault).Maintain audit trails; support security reviews, vulnerability remediation, and compliance (e.g., GDPR/ISO 27001).Monitoring & ObservabilityImplement and enhance logging, metrics, and tracing; configure OpenTelemetry/OTLP where feasible.Integrate platform telemetry with SIEM/monitoring (e.g., Splunk, Azure Monitor, Prometheus/Grafana).Define alerts, dashboards, and runbooks; lead incident response and root cause analysis.DevOps & AutomationAutomate provisioning and configuration with Ansible/Terraform; maintain IaC modules.Support CI/CD for packages, APIs, and policies (Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions/Azure DevOps).Manage environment promotion and configuration baselines; prevent drift with GitOps practices.Governance, Change & DocumentationOperate within ITIL processes (Change/Incident/Problem/Event); maintain ServiceNow CMDB CI accuracy.Maintain standard operating procedures, operational runbooks, DR guides, and config documentation in Confluence.Provide L2/L3 support, mentor junior admins, and collaborate with architects and developers on best practices.Cloud & Hybrid Operations (Optional/Preferred)Administer webMethods in Azure/AWS (VMs, containers/Kubernetes like AKS/EKS).Configure networking (firewalls, load balancers, private endpoints, DNS) for secure hybrid connectivity. Required Skills & Qualifications5–8+ years administering Software AG webMethods (IS, API Gateway, UM/Broker, TN, MFT) in enterprise environments.Strong Linux/UNIX administration

5. To gather specifications and deliver solutions to the client organization based on understanding of a domain or technology
6. To review project deliverables.
7. To recommend client value creation initiatives and implement industry best practices (on specific technology/product)
