Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Tableau Server Admin with 4–5 years of experience in administering, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise Tableau environments. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud administration, performance tuning, security management, automation, and infrastructure support. The role requires strong technical expertise to ensure the stability, scalability, and security of the Tableau platform while supporting business intelligence initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain Tableau Server environments on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Manage and support multi-tenant Tableau Server deployments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
- Administer Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud services, including workspace, datasets, reports, dashboards, and gateway management.
- Configure and manage authentication mechanisms, including Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, and Single Sign-On (SSO).
- Manage user access, groups, roles, permissions, and security policies in compliance with organizational standards.
- Monitor Tableau Server performance and proactively identify performance bottlenecks.
- Perform routine server administration activities including backups, restores, upgrades, migrations, patching, and server maintenance.
- Troubleshoot issues related to Tableau reports, dashboards, extracts, subscriptions, schedules, and gateways.
- Analyze and resolve infrastructure-related issues involving operating systems, networking, and server resources.
- Utilize Tableau administration tools such as TABCMD and TABADMIN for automation and platform management.
- Leverage Tableau Metadata tables and repository data for monitoring, governance, and reporting purposes.
- Develop and maintain administration standards, governance policies, operational procedures, and best practices.
- Drive requirement gathering, process design, implementation, and documentation for Tableau platform enhancements.
- Identify automation opportunities and implement solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Support disaster recovery planning, high availability configurations, and business continuity initiatives.
- Participate in capacity planning and scaling activities to support growing business requirements.
- Collaborate with BI developers, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless platform operations.
Required Skills
- 4–5 years of experience in Tableau Server Admin.
- Strong understanding of Tableau Server and Tableau Cloud architecture and administration.
- Experience installing, configuring, and administering Tableau Server on Windows and Linux environments.
- Good knowledge of Tableau Metadata tables and Tableau administration tools such as TABCMD and TABADMIN.
- Experience implementing and managing authentication methods and SSO integrations.
- Expertise in Tableau platform sizing, capacity planning, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Tableau Server, operating systems, networking, and infrastructure components.
- Experience with Tableau Server upgrades, migrations, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of user management, security administration, and governance frameworks.
- Understanding of server scalability, resource optimization, and environment management.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Tableau Certified Admin certification preferred.
- Experience with Tableau Cloud administration.
- Exposure to scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Shell Scripting, or REST APIs.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹85,000.00 per month
