What you’ll achieve
The CAD/PLM & Simulation Process Engineer will lead development and governance of next‑generation engineering libraries, data models, and workflows that enable world‑class mechanical design, simulation, and product development. This role requires deep expertise in CAD automation, Windchill PLM configuration, and integration of multi‑disciplinary engineering capabilities across Dell’s product teams, including board engineering and ODM partners. The ideal candidate is passionate about driving engineering efficiency, building scalable digital processes, and leveraging AI to transform how design and simulation data is created, managed, and consumed.

What you’ll achieve
As a Computational Fluid Dynamics Analyst, you will work with a cross-functional engineering team to deliver advanced air and liquid cooling solutions for AI, HPC, and enterprise server markets. Your simulation and analysis will enable the latest and technologies from CPU and GPU vendors, drive improved product efficiency, and uncover problem statements for innovation. Your primary responsibility will be to utilize CFD and FEA modelling tools to simulate the mechanical, thermal and flow behavior of liquid cooling components.
You will:

Work with key stakeholders to align on modeling requirements, performance metrics, and boundary conditions

Build and pre-process models, mesh, solve, post process, and analyze results

Run parametric studies to optimize the performance

Present findings to thermal engineers and management to identify problem areas and opportunities to improve design for cost, power, and cooling efficiency

Establish new processes, and maintain consistent modeling practices within the CFD team

Essential Requirements

5-8 years of experience in Server thermal modelling and Thermal design.

Experience in CFD modelling, liquid cooling for electronics including fluid flow and heat transfer analysis.

Experience with FEA modeling, ideally in ANSYS for part deformation.

Proficient in using Star CCM+ and specialized tools like Icepak or FloTHERM for advanced thermal modelling and simulation.

Strong experience with CAD software, especially seeking CREO and Windchill
Desirable Requirements

Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on CFD

Experience with the automation of CAD update and cleanup, scripting in CREO or windchill, and automation of pipeline from CAD stored in Windchill to execution of simulation in CCM, FloEFD, and Flowtherm, etc.
