Job Summary:
To lead and manage all aspects of the Human Resources function, focusing on recruitment, employee relations, manpower planning, absenteeism management, attrition control, and overseeing security operations to ensure a safe, productive, and legally compliant workplace.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Recruitment
- Plan and execute recruitment strategies to meet manpower requirements.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand their needs.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle: job posting, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding.
- Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates through talent databases and networks.
- Ensure timely joining and smooth induction of new hires.
2. Human Resource & Industrial Relations (HRIR)
- Handle employee grievances, discipline, and conflict resolution in line with labour laws and company policies.
- Liaise with the team and facilitate discussions on employee welfare and policy changes.
- Ensure legal compliance in all HR-related matters, including contract labour management.
- Maintain harmonious employee relations and support a positive workplace culture.
3. Absenteeism Management
- Monitor daily attendance and absenteeism trends.
- Coordinate with supervisors to understand and address frequent absenteeism.
- Implement measures to reduce absenteeism, including counselling and attendance incentives.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports for management review.
- 4. Attrition & Retention
- Track employee records and analyze attrition trends.
- 5. Manpower Strength Monitoring
- Maintain updated headcount and deployment status across departments.
- Align manpower availability with production and operational needs.
- Coordinate workforce planning and budgeting with relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure timely backfilling of positions to avoid operational disruptions.
6. Security Operations Oversight
· Supervise security personnel and ensure proper shift management.
· Coordinate with security agencies for training and performance evaluation.
· Ensure implementation of access control, visitor management, and incident reporting systems.
· Conduct periodic audits to ensure safety protocols are followed
7. Payroll Management & Compliance
. To co ordinate with unit HR’s for timely closure of attendance/leave entry/OT
entry etc.
. To ensure the attendance is closed without error within the timeline given by
the managementi.e every 1st of the month .
. To co ordinate with payroll team ensuring timely closure of payroll and
dispersal of payslips to the workers before the dispersal of salary .
. Also to ensure the payslip generated without any error before dispursal of
payslip.
. Also to ensure the management comply by the rules and regulationsof the govt
rules which is amended now and then.
- Conduct exit interviews and identify key reasons for resignation.
- Develop and implement retention strategies and employee engagement activities.
- Prepare monthly attrition reports and suggest improvement plans.
- 8. Compliance /Health and safety /Welfare/Transport/Canteen
. To co ordinate with compliance/health & safety/Welfare and all related
depatments for smooth functioning of HR Department
. Need to be a part during the audit ensure compliance in all the divisions/areas,
. To contribute in submitting the records required by the auditor with respect to
salary /wages/statutory records etc.
Educational / Skills / Experience Requirements
· Educational Qualification : Any Ug/PG.
· Year of experience : MIN 7 years’ experience in Relevant field.
· Technical Requirements : Recruitment, HRIR,
· Behaviour skills required : Proper Manpower handling
· IT Knowledge Required : Computer literacy in Microsoft.
· Language Known : Fluent in Tamil, English.
