1. Industry Knowledge:
- Knowledge of materials used in interior industry is crucial such as of furniture, lighting solutions,
various finishes, core material, colour theory and so on.
- To continuously refine design skills, staying updated with industry knowledge, and contribute to the
growth and success of the firm.
2. Leading the Design Stage:
- To ensure that the cost of the project aligns with the designs proposed.
- To produce furniture plans, design proposal, material selections and manage clients independently
or with minimal supervision.
- Professionally manage the design phase keeping a check of budget and standard timelines set by
the management.
- To formulates designs which are practical, aesthetic, and conducive to intended purposes.
3. Client Satisfaction:
- Proactively working towards gaining the trust of the prospective clients with skillset and lead them
towards closure with the company. Maintain good relationships with clients to ensure positive
feedback and referral flow from the clients.
- Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and budget constraints,
and translate these into creative and functional design concepts.
- Assist the client in the selection and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and accessories, ensuring
quality, functionality, and aesthetic coherence with the overall design concept.
- Act as a point of contact for all your clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Coordinate with external stakeholders, including architects, contractors, vendors, and suppliers, to
ensure seamless integration of interior design elements into overall project plans.
- Post the design phase, designer to be proactive in terms of assisting the client with Material
Selection process i.e. planning the list of items that would be required during execution, for
example - Lighting fixtures, curtains. kitchen wall tiles etc., Similarly, a minimum of 3 to 4 site visits
for each project during execution stage.4. Day to Day Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the company, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Actively work towards achieving targets set by the management in terms of No. of Bookings, Raising
Orders etc.
- Implement and improve operational processes to enhance productivity.
- Monitor project timelines ensure successful project delivery.
- Develop and Adhere to the company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for each task.
5. Business Management:
- Develop and manage budgets, ensuring cash collection targets are met for the team
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions.
- Negotiate contracts with clients.
6. Quality Control:
- Ensure the highest standards of quality in designing process.
- Implement and enforce quality control processes in designing to meet client expectations.
- To review the technical drawings and follow company’s quality control process to ensure zero
discrepancies in the designs finalized.
7. Problem Solving:
- Address challenges and resolve conflicts within the team or with clients.
- Implement effective problem-solving strategies to overcome obstacles.
8. Effective Communication:
- Timely communication with respect to design, development, operations, and/or project teams with
updates such as the status of project completion, upcoming benchmark goals, potential issues, etc.
- Maintain open and transparent communication with the team, clients, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the company in a professional manner during meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
- Provide timely inputs to the Design Support team as per the company’s process.
