Full job description

We are looking for a creative and execution-focused Video Editor & Motion Designer who can shoot and edit engaging videos, create motion graphics, and design social media creatives. The key requirement for this role is hands-on experience with AI-powered video production tools and workflows, including AI-generated visuals, motion graphics, and AI avatars when required. This role will primarily support our Instagram and YouTube content production.

RESPONSIBILITIES1. Video Shooting & Editing for Social Media

Shoot and edit content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and other digital platforms
Capture office content, talking-head videos, product/service explainers, team activities, and branded content
Ensure professional-quality lighting, audio, framing, and smooth shooting execution
Edit short-form content with strong hooks, captions, transitions, pacing, b-roll, and sound design
Convert long-form recordings into multiple engaging short clips

2. Motion Graphics & Creative Design

Create motion graphics for reels and short videos, including animated text, transitions, kinetic typography, and basic logo animations
Design social media creatives such as posters, thumbnails, banners, story templates, and carousel posts
Maintain brand consistency in typography, colors, layouts, and visual style

3. AI-Based Video Production (High Priority)

Use AI tools to improve production efficiency and content quality
Create AI-assisted elements including AI-generated scenes, background replacement, visual enhancements, cleanup, and style variations
Work with AI avatars and AI voice tools when necessary while maintaining natural and professional output
Build repeatable workflows using templates, presets, and prompt libraries to streamline production

4. Collaboration & Performance Optimization

Work closely with the marketing team to execute content briefs on time
Revise and improve content based on feedback and performance insights
Export videos in platform-specific formats (9:16, 1:1, 16:9) while maintaining quality and optimized compression

REQUIRED SKILLS

Strong experience editing Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts
Good motion graphics and animation skills
Strong understanding of design principles including typography, spacing, and composition
Practical experience using AI tools for video creation workflows
Ability to independently shoot videos with proper lighting, framing, and audio setup

TOOLS (ANY EQUIVALENT STACK IS ACCEPTABLE)

Editing: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut
Motion Graphics: After Effects or equivalent
Design: Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Canva
AI Video & Voice Tools: Runway, Pika, Luma, HeyGen, Synthesia, D-ID, ElevenLabs, Descript, or similar platforms

BONUS SKILLS

Short-form script writing and hook creation
Experience editing YouTube long-form content
Color grading and audio mixing
Experience building reusable templates, presets, and content systems

PERFORMANCE METRICS

Consistent weekly content delivery
Editing quality, pacing, audio clarity, and engagement
Improved production speed through optimized workflows
Better audience retention, watch time, saves, shares, and thumbnail CTR

WHO CAN APPLY

Candidates with a portfolio of reels, shorts, motion graphics, and social media creatives
Candidates who can demonstrate at least two projects where AI tools were actively used in the workflow

LOCATION

Calicut – On-site preferred. Hybrid or remote arrangements may be considered for candidates with exceptionally strong portfolios.
