Job Description: Junior Accountant

Location: Burrabazaar, Kolkata
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of accounting principles, good numerical skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain day-to-day financial transactions and records
Assist in preparing invoices, bills, and vouchers
Handle accounts payable and receivable entries
Maintain and update ledgers, cash book, and bank statements
Assist in GST data entry and basic compliance work
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies
Support senior accountants in preparing financial reports
Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records

Required Skills

Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Familiarity with accounting software like Tally or similar tools
Basic understanding of GST and taxation
Proficiency in MS Excel and data entry
Good attention to detail and accuracy
Basic communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

B.Com or equivalent degree in accounting/finance
Prior internship or work experience in accounting (preferred but not mandatory)

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
