Full job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Tax Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with a Chartered Accountant (CA) firm and possess strong expertise in GST, Income Tax, and Audit. This role requires excellent analytical skills, a solid understanding of taxation laws, and the ability to handle multiple tasks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Tax Compliance: Prepare and file GST returns, Income Tax returns, and other statutory filings in a timely and accurate manner.
Tax Planning and Advisory: Assist in tax planning for clients to ensure compliance with applicable laws while optimizing tax liabilities.
Auditing: Conduct statutory audits, tax audits, and internal audits, ensuring adherence to regulatory and accounting standards.
GST Compliance: Handle GST registrations, refunds, reconciliations, and resolution of GST-related queries.
Income Tax Assessments: Support in handling income tax assessments, scrutiny cases, and liaising with tax authorities when required.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies, prepare audit reports, and recommend corrective actions.
Client Management: Collaborate with clients to understand their financial and tax-related requirements, providing them with accurate advice and solutions.
Regulatory Updates: Stay updated with changes in tax laws, rules, and regulations and ensure compliance for clients accordingly.

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with a reputed Chartered Accountant (CA) firm.
In-depth knowledge of GST, Income Tax, and audit procedures.
Proficiency in accounting software and tools such as Tally, MS Excel, and other tax-filing platforms.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

CA Inter or equivalent qualification (preferred but not mandatory).
Experience in handling tax filings & audits.
