Full job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and independent Assistant Manager - Accounts / Senior Accountant with 2 to 7 years of experience to oversee our financial operations in Mumbai. At this compensation level, the ideal candidate will not just execute basic bookkeeping, but will take ownership of compliance, finalization of accounts, financial reporting, and team supervision.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Finalization & Reporting:
Independently handle the monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books.
Prepare and analyze Balance Sheets, Profit & Loss accounts, and detailed MIS reports for management review.
Oversee fixed asset accounting, depreciation schedules, and inventory valuations.
Advanced Taxation & Compliance (Direct & Indirect):
Ensure 100% accurate compliance with GST laws (reviewing GSTR-1, 3B, 9/9C, and rigorous reconciliation of GSTR-2B with purchase registers to maximize Input Tax Credit).
Manage TDS/TCS compliances, including correct rate applications, timely payments, and error-free quarterly return filings (Form 26Q/24Q).
Liaise with external Chartered Accountants and tax consultants for income tax assessments and tax audits.
Audit Management & Internal Controls:
Act as the primary point of contact for Statutory, Internal, and Tax Auditors, ensuring all schedules and queries are resolved swiftly.
Implement robust internal control checks to prevent leakages and ensure data integrity across departments.
Banking, Treasury & Payroll:
Manage corporate banking relationships, track working capital, optimize cash flow, and oversee fund management.
Supervise or finalize corporate payroll processing, including accurate PF, ESIC, and Profession Tax (PT) calculations.
Team Supervision (If applicable):
Guide and review the work of junior accountants/data entry clerks to ensure accurate general ledger postings.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Education: Post-graduation in Commerce (M.Com / MBA Finance) or CA Inter / CMA Inter with a strong academic tracking.
Experience: 2 to 7 years of robust corporate accounting experience. Experience handling corporate finalization and advanced tax audits is highly preferred.
Software Expertise: Advanced mastery of Tally Prime or ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics). High proficiency in Advanced MS Excel (Macros, Pivot Tables, Lookups, financial modeling) is mandatory.
Domain Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS / AS), Companies Act 2013, GST, and Income Tax acts.
Soft Skills: Excellent leadership and communication skills (written and verbal), strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to meet tight monthly closing deadlines.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
