QA Automation Engineer

Description

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer with strong hands-on experience in automation testing who can work independently on assigned modules, take responsibility for test execution, and contribute to maintaining high-quality standards across web and mobile applications. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working on multiple projects, collaborating with teams, and supporting product-based testing efforts. Experience working on ERP products, especially in the education domain, will be an added advantage.

Preferred Location: Kerala

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute automation test scripts for web and mobile applications.
Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks.
Execute automated regression, functional, and integration test suites.
Perform mobile (App) testing for Android and/or iOS platforms.
Conduct manual testing where automation is not applicable.
Execute API testing using Postman or REST-based tools.
Validate backend data using SQL queries.
Log, track, and retest defects; ensure timely closure.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet assigned timelines.
Coordinate with developers and QA leads to resolve issues efficiently.
Follow QA processes, documentation standards, and best practices.

Requirement

2+ years of experience in automation testing.
Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or similar.
Experience in web and mobile application testing.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of manual testing concepts.
Experience in API testing (Postman / REST APIs).
Working knowledge of SQL for backend validation.
Familiarity with SDLC, STLC, and defect life cycle.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum environments.
Experience with Git or version control systems.
Ability to work independently, take responsibility, and complete assigned tasks.

Preferred / Added Advantage

Experience working on ERP product-based applications.
Exposure to education domain systems (ERP, CRM, LMS, Student Management, etc.).
Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Exposure to performance or security testing is a plus.
