Position: Product/ Project Manager (IAM)
Location: Pune

Identity & Access Management (IAM) Project Manager

Role Summary

The IAM Project Manager leads the planning and delivery of enterprise Identity and Access Management initiatives to ensure secure, compliant, and efficient access to systems, applications, and data. This role coordinates across Security, IT, Application Owners, HR, and Compliance to execute IAM programs that reduce access risk while supporting business agility.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end‑to‑end delivery of IAM programs and projects, including scope, roadmap, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
Coordinate cross‑functional teams (Security, Infrastructure, Cloud, HR, Application Owners, Vendors) to drive IAM outcomes.
Manage initiatives across identity lifecycle management (joiner/mover/leaver), access provisioning, RBAC/ABAC, and privileged access.
Establish and enforce governance for access certifications, risk acceptance, and exception handling.
Drive execution of identity controls aligned to regulatory and audit requirements.
Track and report executive‑level metrics (access coverage, certification completion, policy compliance, risk reduction).
Manage remediation of access risks, including orphaned accounts, over‑privileged access, and segregation‑of‑duties issues.
Own stakeholder communications, escalations, and status reporting.
Manage vendors and implementation partners to meet delivery, quality, and security expectations.
Ensure documentation, audit readiness, and operational handoff to support teams.

Program Scope

Identity lifecycle (JML processes)
Application and infrastructure access provisioning
Role and entitlement governance
Privileged Access Management (PAM)
Access reviews and recertifications
Integration with HR, CMDB, and ticketing systems

Core Competencies

Strong program and project management in security or enterprise IT environments
Identity governance and access control fundamentals
Risk‑based decision making and prioritization
Executive‑level communication and stakeholder management
Governance, compliance, and audit alignment
Vendor and dependency management

Success Characteristics

Measurable reduction in access‑related risk
On‑time delivery of IAM initiatives with minimal business disruption
High access certification and compliance completion rates
Clear governance, ownership, and accountability for access controls
Strong partnership between Security and Business stakeholders

Typical Background (High Level)

7–10+ years of experience in project or program management within cybersecurity or enterprise IT
Experience delivering IAM, IGA, or access governance initiatives
Familiarity with enterprise IAM platforms (tool‑agnostic)
Proven experience supporting audits, compliance, and regulatory reviews

Executive Role Framing

This role ensures enterprise access is provisioned, governed, and reviewed in a controlled, compliant, and risk‑aware manner.
