To supervise and coordinate daily production activities in the modular furniture manufacturing unit, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and delivery schedules are achieved efficiently.
Key ResponsibilitiesProduction Supervision
- Plan and monitor daily production activities as per production schedules.
- Allocate work to carpenters, machine operators, assemblers, and helpers.
- Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, and materials.
- Monitor production output and ensure timely completion of orders.
Quality Control
- Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
- Conduct in-process and final quality inspections.
- Identify defects and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the quality team to reduce rework and wastage.
Material Management
- Monitor availability of raw materials, hardware, and consumables.
- Coordinate with stores and procurement departments for material requirements.
- Control material wastage and improve material utilization.
Machine & Equipment Management
- Ensure proper operation of panel saws, edge banders, CNC machines, drilling machines, and other equipment.
- Report machine breakdowns promptly.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
Workforce Management
- Supervise factory workers and maintain discipline.
- Train employees on production methods, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Monitor attendance, overtime, and productivity.
Safety & Housekeeping
- Ensure compliance with factory safety regulations.
- Promote safe work practices and use of PPE.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas (5S standards).
Inventory & Documentation
- Maintain daily production reports.
- Record material consumption, wastage, and productivity data.
- Track work orders and production status.
- Assist in stock verification and inventory control.
Continuous Improvement
- Suggest process improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs.
- Implement lean manufacturing practices where applicable.
- Work towards reducing rework, rejection, and production delays.

Qualification & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical, Production, Wood Technology, or related field.
- 3–7 years of experience in modular furniture manufacturing.
- Knowledge of panel furniture production processes, CNC operations, edge banding, cutting, assembly, and finishing.
- Ability to read production drawings and cutting lists.
- Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
