We are looking for an experienced Script Writer who doesn't just write lines, but architectures experiences. If you know how to capture an audience's attention in the first three seconds, balance business objectives with creative flair, and collaborate seamlessly across production teams, we want you on our team.
Role Overview
As our Senior Script Writer, you will own the narrative journey from initial concept to the final, polished shooting script. You will collaborate directly with Creative Directors, Copywriters, Video Editors, and clients to interpret briefs and breathe life into various media formats. This role requires an agile writer who can switch voices seamlessly—from highly professional corporate tones to witty, fast-paced social media hooks.
Key Responsibilities1. Conceptualization & Storyboarding
- Brainstorm and develop original, innovative creative concepts based on client briefs and strategic objectives.
- Translate abstract marketing data and complex technical concepts into clear, engaging, and linear storylines.
- Collaborate with visual designers and directors to create loose storyboards or audio-visual (AV) scripts mapping out sound effects (SFX), visual cues, and voiceovers (VO).
2. Scriptwriting & Execution
- Write, revise, and polish scripts across multiple formats including, but not limited to:
- Corporate and brand identity films
- 2D/3D animation and whiteboard explainer videos
- Digital advertisements (YouTube, Meta, LinkedIn ads)
- Short-form content hooks (Reels, TikToks, Shorts)
- Event scripts, documentaries, and executive talking points
- Maintain strict quality control over tone, pacing, structure, and character dialogue.
3. Client & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Present and pitch script concepts directly to external clients and internal leadership, successfully defending creative choices while incorporating constructive feedback.
- Work closely with voiceover artists, directors, and video editors during post-production to ensure the auditory and visual flow matches the script's original intent.
- Mentor junior copywriters/writers within the creative team to elevate the overall quality of output.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of professional scriptwriting experience within a creative agency, production house, or media network. A robust portfolio/showreel demonstrating produced video work is mandatory.
- Adaptability: Proven ability to write for diverse industries (e.g., Tech, Healthcare, B2B, Lifestyle) and adapt tone instantly.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of visual storytelling principles, screenwriting formats (like dual-column AV scripts or standard screenplay layouts), pacing, and video production workflows.
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; comfortable pitching ideas and taking feedback.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines without compromising on creative depth.
- Bonus Points: Familiarity with integrating modern AI writing assistants into workflows for rapid brainstorming or layout structuring.
