Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and innovative Electrical Design Engineer with hands on experience in electromechanical product development including solenoids, valves, and actuators. The ideal candidate will be responsible for electromagnetic simulation, magnetic circuit design, and functional validation of electrical sub-systems integrated into our advanced product range. This role is crucial in achieving OEM-level reliability, performance, and certification standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop electrical and electromagnetic systems for solenoids, valves, and electromechanical actuators.

Perform electromagnetic simulations using tools like FEMM, Ansys Maxwell, or COMSOL Multiphysics.

Define electrical circuit schematics, including driver circuits, sensing systems, and interface logic.

Collaborate with mechanical and electronics teams to optimize electro-mechanical performance and design integration.
-
Conduct thermal analysis, magnetic flux optimization, inductance balancing, and current density evaluation.

Specify coil winding parameters (turns, gauge, insulation) and validate through simulation and prototype testing.

Support design validation through lab testing, endurance testing, and field trials.

Work with vendors for the development of custom coils, PCBs, and driver modules.

Lead efforts in achieving electrical product certifications: CE, UL, RoHS, EMC compliance, etc.

Provide inputs for design for manufacturing (DFM), tooling feasibility, and coil over molding techniques.

Evaluate and approve electrical BOM, source alternatives, and coordinate with sourcing/procurement teams.

Drive continuous improvement and contribute to innovation programs for new product platforms.
Mandatory Skills & Competencies:

Strong proficiency in electromagnetic simulation tools such as FEMM, Ansys Maxwell.

Hands-on experience in coil design, magnetic analysis, and optimization techniques.

Deep knowledge of electrical solenoid design , magnetic circuit design, signal conditioning, PCB layout, and EMI/EMC considerations.

Familiarity with electromechanical interfaces, contact resistance, and insulation degradation mechanisms.

Understanding of solenoid activation principles – DC, AC, PWM actuation, latching behavior.

Experience in OEM-level product design and lifecycle management.

Exposure to safety, functional reliability, and IP-grade protection for coil-based systems.

Proficient in reading technical drawings, interpreting GD&T, and working with cross-functional teams.

Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with hands-on experience in lab testing.

Excellent written and verbal communication, including technical documentation and review reports.
Preferred Attributes:

Working knowledge of embedded control systems or collaboration with firmware teams.

Exposure to wire harness design, connector selection, overvoltage/ESD protection.

Experience in automotive, industrial automation, or fluid control applications.

Experience in using FEMM, Ansys - Maxwell, Multisim, Proteus,MATlab , LTspice, or equivalent tools for circuit-level validation.

Familiarity with quality tools like DFMEA, Fishbone Analysis, Root Cause Analysis.
Minimum Requirements :
B.E/B.Tech in EEE/ECE with 6 to 8 years of experience in Electromechanical products
