ABOUT THE ROLE
The Client Lead is a strategic contributor responsible for managing day-to-day client relationships, supporting account growth, and coordinating cross-functional execution across performance marketing, creative, website, SEO and social media teams.
You’ll act as the primary point of contact for assigned clients—understanding their marketing requirements, devising tailored digital strategies aligned with their goals, coordinating with internal teams for execution, and identifying opportunities for account growth. The role sits at the intersection of account management, project delivery, and performance marketing.
If you’re someone who’s equally comfortable hopping on a strategy call, reviewing ad copy, keeping internal teams aligned, and putting together a clean performance report—this is your role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, building strong, trust-based relationships.
- Lead client onboarding, kick-off calls, and regular check-ins to ensure alignment on goals, timelines, and deliverables.
- Understand client goals, requirements, and challenges to support effective campaign execution.
- Maintain strong working relationships through timely communication, follow-ups, and proactive problem-solving.
- Educate clients on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance their digital presence.
- Manage client expectations, flag risks early, and resolve escalations with composure and clarity.
Planning, Reporting & Performance Monitoring
- Work closely with clients to define clear marketing objectives and translate them into actionable digital strategies with measurable KPIs.
- Analyse campaign performance and prepare regular reports highlighting results, insights, and ROI.
- Provide high-level, data-driven recommendations to optimize campaigns and drive continuous improvement.
- Build monthly/weekly performance decks and client-facing reports with actionable insights.
- Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and performance marketing trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
- Translate client briefs into clear, actionable tasks for performance marketing specialists, designers, copywriters, and developers.
- Own project timelines and deliverable trackers; ensure campaigns launch on time and within scope.
- Communicate client feedback and requirements clearly to internal stakeholders.
- Bridge gaps between teams to ensure smooth delivery and consistent outcomes.
- Coordinate across time zones when working with international client accounts.
Social Media Management & Copywriting
- Review and provide feedback on social media content calendars, captions, and creative briefs before client delivery.
- Draft or refine ad copy, email copy, and social captions when needed—ensuring brand voice consistency.
- Coordinate influencer briefs and content deliverables in collaboration with the creative team.
- Support content ideation for client organic and paid social channels.
Strategic Account Growth
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across digital services such as Paid Media, SEO, Creative, Social Media, and MarTech.
- Support account expansion initiatives by understanding client business objectives and spotting gaps in their current strategy.
- Help ensure client retention by delivering consistent service quality and responsiveness.
- Leverage existing client relationships, referrals, and networks to generate new business opportunities.
WHAT YOU BRING
- Min 1 year of experience in account management, project management, or client servicing—preferably in a digital marketing or performance marketing agency.
- Solid understanding of Meta Ads, Google Ads, and email marketing (you don’t need to be a specialist, but you should know how campaigns work).
- Strong written communication and copywriting instincts—you can spot weak copy and know what good looks like.
- Familiarity with social media management across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
- Exceptional organizational skills—you’re the person who never lets a deliverable slip through the cracks.
- Comfortable managing multiple client accounts simultaneously across different geographies and time zones.
- Clear, confident communication—both written and verbal—with clients and internal teams.
- A proactive, ownership-first mindset. You don’t wait to be told what to do.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience working with D2C, e-commerce, B2B, or SaaS brands.
- Exposure to creative strategy, ad scripting, or UGC coordination.
- Familiarity with reporting tools like Google Analytics, Looker Studio, or Triple Whale.
- Prior experience in a fast-paced, founder-led agency environment.
- Interest in performance marketing as a career path (not just project management).
