Job Description: Medical Representative (Business Manager)

Position Title: BUSINESS MANAGER
Department: Sales & Marketing
Location: Rohini, Delhi
Reports To: Area Manager / Regional Sales Manager
Job Type: [Full-time]

Job Overview:

A Medical Representative (MR) plays a crucial role in promoting and selling pharmaceutical products to healthcare professionals such as doctors, pharmacists, and hospital staff. The MR is responsible for educating medical professionals about the benefits and proper usage of the company’s products, while also gathering insights about market trends, competitors, and customer needs. This position demands a combination of strong scientific knowledge, sales skills, and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Promotion of Pharmaceutical Products:
Promote and sell the company’s pharmaceutical products to doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, and clinics in a designated territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals to increase product awareness and sales.
Conduct product presentations, detailing the benefits, features, and proper usage of the company’s medicines.
Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) as set by the management.
Customer Relationship Management:
Develop long-term relationships with doctors, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals to ensure brand loyalty.
Identify and target key opinion leaders (KOLs) and potential high-value clients in the territory.
Provide accurate and up-to-date information on the company’s products, addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
Manage existing accounts and seek opportunities to expand customer base within assigned region.
Market Research & Intelligence:
Monitor and analyze competitor activities, pricing, and promotional strategies within the territory.
Gather feedback from healthcare professionals regarding product performance, market trends, and customer preferences.
Provide feedback to the marketing and sales teams to help refine marketing strategies and product offerings.
Product Knowledge & Training:
Continuously update knowledge about the company’s product portfolio, new product launches, and industry trends.
Stay informed about developments in the pharmaceutical industry, including new drugs, treatments, and regulatory changes.
Participate in training sessions, conferences, and seminars to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
Reporting & Administration:
Maintain accurate records of sales calls, customer interactions, and transactions in the CRM system.
Submit regular sales reports, activity logs, and customer feedback to the Area Manager or Regional Manager.
Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly sales forecasts and action plans to ensure alignment with sales targets.
Ensure timely and accurate documentation of all promotional and sales activities, including sample distribution.
Event Participation & Promotion:
Represent the company at medical conferences, exhibitions, and healthcare events to promote products and build brand visibility.
Organize or participate in educational seminars, workshops, and training sessions for healthcare professionals to demonstrate product efficacy and safety.
Support the organization of promotional activities and campaigns aimed at increasing product awareness in the region.

Required Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medical, or related field.
Additional qualifications in sales or marketing are an advantage.
Experience:
Proven experience (typically 1-3 years) as a Medical Representative or Sales Representative in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or medical device industries.
Fresh graduates with strong academic are also welcome to apply.
Skills and Competencies:
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Ability to build relationships with healthcare professionals and key stakeholders.
Strong sales and persuasion abilities with a results-oriented mindset.
Self-motivated, proactive, and goal-driven with the ability to work independently.
Ability to use CRM software, Microsoft Office, and other sales management tools.

Desirable Qualities:

Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
Attention to detail, particularly in terms of product knowledge and regulatory compliance.
Willingness to travel within the assigned territory (travel requirements may vary by region).
