Position description: Jindal Stainless Limited, a leading entity in the Mining & Metals industry, is seeking an experienced professional to lead and manage the Mechanical Department. The role demands strategic oversight of mechanical operations, ensuring optimal performance, maintenance, and innovation in line with industry standards. The candidate will be responsible for driving efficiency, safety, and sustainability in mechanical processes, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company’s growth and operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities:

Lead and oversee all mechanical engineering activities within the department, ensuring alignment with company goals and industry best practices.

Develop and implement maintenance strategies to maximize equipment reliability and minimize downtime in mining and metal processing operations.

Manage the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Coordinate with procurement and project teams to source and evaluate mechanical components and services, optimizing cost and performance.

Conduct regular inspections and audits of mechanical assets to identify risks, recommend improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance.
