Position Overview
As a UI/UX Design Intern, you will work closely with senior designers, product managers, and developers to support the design of mobile and web applications. This role is ideal for someone who has a foundational understanding of UI/UX principles and wants hands-on experience working on real-world projects.
You will be guided and mentored throughout the internship, with clear expectations and learning outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Design Support & Execution
- Assist in designing user interfaces for mobile and web applications.
- Create wireframes, user flows, and visual mockups under guidance.
- Support senior designers in preparing UI screens, prototypes, and design assets.
- Work on small design tasks and gradually take ownership of features/modules.
User Experience & Research
- Help with user research, competitor analysis, and design references.
- Understand user requirements and convert them into creative, usable designs.
- Participate in usability reviews and feedback discussions.
Collaboration
- Coordinate with developers to understand implementation constraints.
- Incorporate feedback from seniors, PMs, and clients into design iterations.
- Maintain organized design files and documentation in Figma or similar tools.
Learning & Growth
- Learn and follow design systems, brand guidelines, and UX best practices.
- Improve understanding of typography, colour systems, spacing, and responsiveness.
- Stay curious about design trends, accessibility basics, and UX patterns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 0–2 years of experience or relevant academic/project background in UI/UX design.
- Good proficiency in Figma (preferred) or tools like Adobe XD / Sketch.
- Understanding of fundamental UI/UX concepts and user-centered design.
- Ability to accept feedback and iterate quickly.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Portfolio showcasing academic, personal, or internship projects (mandatory).
Good to Have (Not Mandatory):
- Awareness of mobile-first and responsive design principles.
- Knowledge of design systems or component-based design.
- Exposure to animations, micro-interactions, or motion design tools.
Internship to Full-Time Conversion
- Internship duration: 3 months
- Stipend: ₹10,000 – ₹15,000 per month (The final stipend amount will be determined based on the candidate's interview performance, skills, capabilities, and overall knowledge.)
- Post-Internship Compensation: ₹2.4 LPA – ₹3.6 LPA (based on performance & evaluation of Internship period)
