Job Description:
Provide 24x7 production database support (rotational shifts and on-call support).
- Install, configure, upgrade, and patch Oracle Database environments.
- Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance tuning.
- Perform database backup and recovery using RMAN.
- Manage database security, user roles, and privileges.
Troubleshoot database-related incidents and resolve within SLA.
- Support high availability solutions such as Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and standby databases.
- Perform regular health checks and preventive maintenance.
- Participate in DR drills and ensure disaster recovery readiness.
- Coordinate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors.
- Maintain documentation of configurations, SOPs, and troubleshooting steps.
- Strong experience in Oracle Database Administration (11g/12c/19c or higher).
- Hands-on experience with RMAN backup and recovery.
- Experience in Oracle RAC and Data Guard environments.
- Knowledge of performance tuning (AWR, ASH reports, SQL tuning).
- Experience with database patching and upgrades.
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience in handling production incidents in a 24x7 support model.
