Location: Rasonix, Bengaluru
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Timing: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Candidates must bring their own laptop for work purposes.
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic WordPress with PHP Developer Intern who is eager to build real-world web development experience. The ideal candidate should have foundational knowledge of WordPress development, PHP programming, website customization, and basic web technologies. This internship provides hands-on exposure to live projects, mentorship from senior developers, and an opportunity to grow into a full-time role.
Key Responsibilities
● Assist in developing and maintaining WordPress websites and web applications.
● Customize WordPress themes and plugins based on project requirements.
● Build responsive and user-friendly web pages using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress.
● Support backend development using PHP and MySQL.
● Debug and resolve website issues, bugs, and performance bottlenecks.
● Work on website optimization, security enhancements, and SEO best practices.
● Collaborate with UI/UX designers and developers to implement new features.
● Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards and best practices.
● Learn and contribute to live client and internal projects.
Technical RequirementsWordPress
● Basic to intermediate knowledge of WordPress CMS.
● Understanding of WordPress themes, plugins, and page builders.
● Experience with WordPress customization is preferred.
● Familiarity with WooCommerce is a plus.
PHP Development
● Good understanding of core PHP concepts.
● Knowledge of object-oriented programming (OOP) in PHP.
● Ability to build and modify backend logic.
Frontend Skills
● Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
● Understanding of responsive web design principles.
● Familiarity with Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS is a plus.
Database
● Basic knowledge of MySQL.
● Understanding of database queries, joins, and CRUD operations.
Version Control & Tools
● Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
● Basic understanding of cPanel/hosting environments is a plus.
● Exposure to debugging tools and browser developer tools.
Soft Skills
● Strong willingness to learn and adapt quickly.
● Good communication and teamwork skills.
● Problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
● Ability to manage assigned tasks and timelines effectively.
Good to Have
● Knowledge of Elementor, WPBakery, or similar page builders.
● Understanding of REST APIs and third-party integrations.
● Exposure to website deployment and hosting environments.
● Basic SEO knowledge.
● Prior internship/project experience in WordPress development.
