We are seeking a seasoned Siebel Engineer to lead the technical data migration and integration effort from our legacy Oracle Siebel environment to Salesforce. You will act as the crucial bridge between our legacy on-premises system and our new cloud architecture, working alongside Salesforce Architects, business analysts, and functional teams to ensure seamless data integrity and zero-downtime cutover.
- Data Mapping & Transformation: Analyze the legacy Siebel data model (Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, Service Requests, Assets) and map it to standard and custom Salesforce objects. Define data cleansing and transformation rules.
- Legacy Extraction: Leverage Siebel EIM (Enterprise Integration Manager), EAI, and SQL/PL-SQL to extract large, complex datasets from the Siebel database securely.
- ETL & Data Loading: Develop, optimize, and execute ETL processes utilizing tools like Informatica, Jitterbit, or MuleSoft, eventually loading and validating data via the Salesforce Data Loader.
- System Integration: Design and implement transitional integrations and APIs (REST/SOAP) between the remaining Siebel modules and Salesforce during the phased migration.
- Documentation: Prepare comprehensive Technical Design Documents (TDD), Data Dictionary, and Data Strategy/Mapping Documents for stakeholder review and approval.
- Testing & Validation: Conduct comprehensive data reconciliation, unit testing, and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure data parity between Siebel and Salesforce.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: Overall 10+ years of experience with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Siebel CRM development, configuration, and administration (Workflows, Business Services, eScript, and EIM).
- Migration Experience: Proven track record of executing at least 2 full end-to-end data migration projects from legacy systems to Salesforce.
- Technical Stack: Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and middleware data integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft Anypoint, Informatica).
- Salesforce Knowledge: Solid grasp of Salesforce architecture, data models, and data manipulation capabilities.
- Soft Skills: Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical business.
- Oracle Siebel CRM Certifications.
- Salesforce Certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I or Data Architecture and Management Designer).
- Familiarity with Siebel Product & Pricing modules and Order Management if handling complex CPQ migrations.
