Nasdaq Technology is looking for a passionate Back-end Software Engineer Senior Specialist with focus on AWS Cloud SaaS Java back-end Development, to join the Mumbai technology center in India. If Innovation and effectiveness drive, you forward this is the place for you!

As a Back-end Software Engineer Senior Specialist you will be a member of a cross-functional team, delivering critical data solutions for financial markets around the globe. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a strong experienced team delivering complex technology solutions to our external clients. You will work with and learn from subject matter experts and have the opportunity to take on more responsibility and progress within the development team.

Role Responsibilities -

As Back-end Software Engineer Senior Specialist your focus will be developing and implementing software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Mumbai you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

You will be responsible for the development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of software applications. Be involved in the full software development life cycle, from planning and designing to coding and testing. Work closely with business analysts and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into software solutions. Also be responsible for providing user support and training. Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications. Serve as technical expert on development projects. Support, maintain and documents software functionality. Participate in software design meetings and performs code reviews. You will also be responsible for training and guiding less experienced team members.

We expect you to have: (Minimum Qualifications)

Java - at least 7-10 years of experience as a Java software engineer.
AWS experience.
SQL, RESTful APIs, Spring and Spring Boot expertise.
Kotlin, Containerization & Kubernetes experience is a plus.
Proficiency with Linux commands and utilities including Bash/Python scripting.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills that enable you to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
Good communication and collaboration skills that enable you to work well with other developers, partners, and users.
Passion for learning new technologies and staying updated with industry trends that help you improve your skills and knowledge.
Creativity and innovation in creating solutions that meet user needs and expectations and deliver value to the business.
Attention to detail and quality assurance that ensure your software products are of high quality and meet the standards and requirements.
Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and cope with changing priorities and deadlines.
A curiosity for the financial industry, with an interest in learning about the markets, products, and services that Nasdaq offers.
Education Qualification: Degree qualified in a discipline related to Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.

Familiarity with big data tools and technologies
CI/CD pipeline experience
Containers expertise (Docker and Kubernetes)
