DESCRIPTION:
Join our collaborative team at Thermo Fisher Scientific and help develop innovative software solutions for scientific instruments. You'll work on advanced technologies that enable breakthrough research in fields like semiconductors, life sciences, and materials analysis. As a Software Engineer III, you'll design and implement sophisticated software applications that control our electron microscopes and analytical instruments, helping customers make discoveries that improve lives worldwide. Working in an agile environment with international teams, you'll contribute to technical innovation while collaborating with scientists, engineers, and domain experts across multiple disciplines.
REQUIREMENTS:

Strong hands-on experience in developing enterprise web applications using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and Node.js.

Experience in developing and maintaining desktop applications and web-based platforms.

Good understanding of cloud technologies and hands-on experience with AWS services.

Exposure to Java and understanding of backend application development concepts.

Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive application development.

Experience working with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and modern frontend frameworks.

Knowledge of AI pipeline development, Codex integrations, and automation workflows.
-
Experience with scientific image analysis, Western Blotting workflows, and protein analysis applications is highly desirable.

Familiarity with GxP/GHCP environments and regulated software development practices including 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.

Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and Agile development methodologies.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively with remote, distributed, and global teams.

Strong technical acumen with the ability to evaluate and adopt emerging technologies.

6–8 years of overall software engineering experience, with significant experience in technical leadership .

4+ years of experience in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Scientific Instrumentation domains.

Exposure to image processing and scientific data analysis platforms.

Knowledge of AI/ML frameworks and intelligent automation solutions.
-
Experience working on regulated applications and compliance-driven environments.
-
Familiarity with Electron or desktop application frameworks is an added advantage.
