Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Federal Proposal Writer to support the development of compliant, compelling, and high-quality proposals in response to U.S. Federal Government RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, Sources Sought Notices, and related procurement opportunities.

The ideal candidate will work closely with proposal managers, business development teams, subject matter experts (SMEs), and leadership to coordinate proposal activities, develop response content, ensure compliance with solicitation requirements, and contribute to winning proposal submissions. This role offers an excellent opportunity to grow into a full-fledged federal proposal and solution writing professional.

Roles & Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end proposal writing process from initial solicitation review through to final submission.
Work efficiently as an individual contributor on core writing sections while taking responsibility for handling team collaborations ans task assignments.
Review and analyze U.S. Federal solicitations (RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, Sources Sought, etc.) to understand scope, requirements, evaluation criteria, and compliance needs.
Coordinate with business development, capture, technical, and leadership teams to gather proposal inputs and manage proposal schedules.
Develop proposal outlines, compliance matrices, response templates, and content plans.
Support the preparation of technical, management, staffing, past performance, and corporate capability sections.
Translate technical concepts and solutions into clear, client-focused proposal responses.
Edit, proofread, and refine proposal content for consistency, clarity, responsiveness, and compliance.
Format and maintain professional proposal documents using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Conduct proposal quality reviews to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to solicitation instructions.
Manage proposal version control, content repositories, and reusable proposal assets.
Research federal agencies, industry trends, procurement forecasts, and competitive intelligence to strengthen proposal responses.
Utilize Canva to create proposal graphics, capability statements, infographics, and branded visual assets.
Collaborate with SMEs and technical teams to progressively take ownership of technical solution writing and proposal development activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

4+ years of experience in proposal writing, proposal coordination, RFP response management, technical writing, or federal proposal support.
Understanding of U.S. Federal Government procurement processes, solicitations, and proposal structures is preferred.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and document formatting.
Experience creating professional layouts and visual content using Canva.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Ability to comprehend technical concepts and present them in a clear and persuasive manner.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and project coordination skills.
Willingness to learn federal proposal strategy, compliance requirements, and solution development.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
