What You Will Own and Do:
High Level Requirement(s) — The "Architect" Pillar
- MES Strategy & Roadmap: Design the end-to-end digital architecture for a high volume, high-mix EMS plant.
- Platform Selection & Deployment: Evaluate and lead the implementation of Tier-1
MES solutions (e.g., Siemens Opcenter/Camstar, Aegis FactoryLogix, iTac, or Critical
Manufacturing).
- IIoT & Industry 4.0: Architect the data acquisition layer from SMT machines (Fuji,
Panasonic (ASM) using CFX/IPC-2591 or OPC-UA.
- Digital Thread Integration: Ensure seamless bi-directional data flow between ERP
(SAP/Oracle), PLM, and the Shop Floor.
Detailed Requirement(s) — The "EMS Expert" Pillar
- Traceability Architecture: Design a system that captures 1:1 component-level
traceability (UID/LID) including "Golden Board" verification and MSD (Moisture
Sensitive Device) tracking.
- Process Interlocking: Implement "No-Go" logic—ensuring a PCBA cannot move to
the next station (e.g., Reflow to AOI) unless it has passed the previous process gate.
- Quality & Yield Analytics: Create real-time dashboards for First Pass Yield (FPY),
DPMO, and OEE directly from machine data.
- Box-Build Logic: Architect the serialization and parent-child relationship hierarchy for
complex Box-build integrations.
- Compliance Engineering: Ensure the MES architecture meets AS9100, IATF 16949,
and FDA 21 CFR Part 11 (electronic records) requirements.
What You Will Bring to Us:
- EMS Fluency: You understand SMT, THT, Wave Soldering, and ICT/FCT processes and
how software governs them.
- Systems Thinking: Ability to visualize how a component scan at the warehouse
affects the shipping manifest at the end of the line.
- Vendor Management: Experience dealing with global MES vendors and systems
integrators.
- Leadership: The ability to mentor a team of developers and business analysts while
influencing senior stakeholders.
Qualification — Non-Negotiable
- Candidate without Direct EMS / PCBA Industry experience — Not suitable
- Pure IT/Software background without Shop-floor (Machines/Hardware) integration
experience — Not preferred
- Candidates who have only managed MES, not designed/implemented it — Not
eligible
Criteria Requirement
Education B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics, Computer Science, or Information Technology.
Experience
15–18 Years, with at least 8-10 years dedicated to MES in a Tier-1 EMS
environment.
Tech Stack
Knowledge of SQL, .NET/Java, Rest APIs, MQTT, OPC-UA, and IPC
Standards.
Domain
Mastery
IPC-CFX, SMEMA interface, and SMT Machine communication protocols
Non-Negotiable Attitude & Mindset
- Digital Evangelist: You believe that paper-based tracking is a risk to quality.
- Precision Driven: You understand that in Aerospace/Medical, "if it isn't in the MES, it
didn't happen."
- Builder's Spirit: You are excited to build a "Light-out" factory capability from a
Greenfield site.
- Ownership: You don't just point out bugs; you architect the solution.
We're Not the Best Fit for You If:
- You prefer maintaining legacy systems rather than building a modern stack from
scratch.
- You see IT as a "support function" rather than a "production-critical function."
- You are not comfortable walking the shop floor to understand how operators interact
with touchscreens.
- You find the stringent traceability requirements of Aerospace and Defence "tedious.
