INCOME TAX MANAGER – COMPLIANCE, LITIGATION & TEAM LEADERSHIP

Location: Madurai, Tamil Nadu

Experience: Minimum 5 Years in an Audit Firm / Auditor Office

ABOUT THE ROLE

* Lead Income tax team and accounting compliance. Handle notices, assessments, and audits.

* Review accounts and teamwork. Manage 150 client accounts.

* To Lead 1 Senior Accountant.

WHAT MANAGEMENT EXPECTS

* Take ownership of client work. Complete work accurately and on time.

* Guide and support team members. Identify compliance issues early.

* Maintain professional communication. Keep management informed.

OUR WORK PRINCIPLE

* Trust, accountability, and professionalism. Focus on quality and timely delivery.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES, GST COMPLIANCE & LITIGATION

* Handle Income Tax compliance and return filing.

* Handle Income Tax notices and departmental queries and review accounts and tax computations.

* Coordinate with clients regarding tax-related matters.

* Maintain client records and tax files.

ACCOUNTS REVIEW & QUALITY CONTROL

* Review books of accounts and Verify reconciliations and IT workings.

* Identify compliance gaps. Maintain records and client files. Ensure quality and compliance standards.

CLIENT PORTFOLIO MANAGEMENT

* Manage 100 client accounts to Verify and maintain client records.

* Coordinate directly with clients and Monitor compliance and deadlines.

TEAM LEADERSHIP & ACCOUNTABILITY

* Lead 1 Senior Accountant. Allocate and monitor work. Review and approve teamwork.

* Ensure timely client deliverables. Improve team productivity and processes.

TRAINING & KNOWLEDGE DEVELOPMENT

* Conduct team training sessions. Share IT and Tally updates.

* Develop team technical knowledge. Maintain compliance checklists and procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS

* Income Tax return filing. Knowledge in Genius software is added advantage.

* Tally Prime, MS Excel, Accounting knowledge.

* Leadership and team management. Client communication skills. Problem-solving and decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS

* B. Com /M. Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter or equivalent.

* Minimum 5 years’ experience in an Audit Firm.

* Two-wheeler driving license mandatory. Own vehicle is preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

* ₹30,000 Net Salary.

* Quarterly Performance Bonus. Diwali Bonus.

* Work From Home (5 days/month). Company Laptop.

WORK SCHEDULE

* 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.

* 40-minute lunch break.

* 20-minute refreshment breaks.

LEAVE POLICY

* 1 Casual Leave per month. Unused CL can be encashed.

COMPANY ASSETS & RESPONSIBILITY

* Laptop provided for official work. Use company assets responsibly. Report any damage immediately.
