Job Overview
As a Principal Hardware Design Engineer at Collins Aerospace, you will play a key role in designing and developing advanced digital electronic systems that power next-generation aerospace and defense technologies. You will be involved in the complete hardware development lifecycle, from requirements definition and schematic design to testing, validation, and product deployment.

What You Will Do
- Lead and contribute to all phases of the hardware development lifecycle, from concept through qualification and production.
- Design and develop digital electronic circuits and Circuit Card Assemblies (CCA) using schematic capture tools.
- Develop hardware solutions using industry-standard bus technologies, including:

I2C

USB

LVDS

SERDES
- Design and support DDR1, DDR2, and DDR3 memory interfaces.
- Perform hardware verification, testing, and troubleshooting using engineering laboratory equipment.
- Conduct signal integrity and timing analysis to ensure robust and reliable designs.
- Support environmental and electromagnetic qualification testing, including:

- Apply engineering best practices, including:

- Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM field.
- 10+ years of experience across all phases of the hardware development lifecycle.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
