Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Developer with strong expertise in Guidewire implementations and Guidewire Cloud. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Guidewire core applications, cloud-based deployments, integrations, and client-facing engagements. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams in a distributed delivery environment to design, develop, customize, and support Guidewire solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, configure, and maintain Guidewire applications based on business requirements.
- Customize and enhance Guidewire modules including PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.
- Develop and support integrations between Guidewire applications and external systems using Guidewire integration frameworks and APIs.
- Work on Guidewire Cloud implementations, deployments, and cloud-native integration solutions.
- Develop solutions using GOSU, Guidewire configuration tools, and Guidewire data model extensions.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide timely resolution.
- Participate in requirement analysis, solution design, code reviews, testing, and production support activities.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders across onshore-offshore delivery models.
- Ensure adherence to Guidewire best practices, coding standards, and performance optimization techniques.
- Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams, providing technical guidance and status updates.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8+ years of overall IT experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Guidewire implementations.
- Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Guidewire Cloud.
- Strong expertise in at least one Guidewire core application:
- PolicyCenter
- BillingCenter
- ClaimCenter
- Strong hands-on experience with GOSU programming.
- Solid understanding of Guidewire Data Model, configurations, and extensions.
- Experience with Guidewire integration patterns, APIs, messaging, and web services.
- Good understanding of Guidewire Cloud architecture, deployment models, and cloud-based integrations.
- Experience working in distributed and onshore-offshore delivery environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Client-facing experience with the ability to interact confidently with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Guidewire Cloud certification(s) preferred.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment practices.
- Experience with performance tuning and production support in Guidewire environments.
