Overview

We are seeking a creative, passionate, and highly qualified PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) in Painting to join our Senior Secondary faculty. The ideal candidate will inspire and guide high school students (Grades 11 and 12) in exploring visual arts, mastering various painting techniques, and developing deep conceptual thinking.

Responsibilities

Curriculum Delivery: Teach Fine Arts and Painting to senior secondary classes (Grades 11 & 12) in strict alignment .

Practical Training: Conduct studio-based sessions focusing on sketching, color theory, composition, still life, landscape, and life study using various mediums (oil, watercolor, acrylics, pastels).

Theory Lectures: Deliver comprehensive lessons on the History of Indian Art, Western Art, and art aesthetics as required by the academic syllabus.

Board Examination Prep: Guide students through portfolio development, internal assignments, and rigorous preparation for external practical and theory board exams.

Art Events & Exhibitions: Organize annual school art exhibitions, set up galleries, and mentor students participating in inter-school, regional, and national art competitions.

Studio Maintenance: Manage the art room budget, ensure safe storage of student work, and oversee the procurement of high-quality art materials.

Skills Description

Required Qualifications

Master of Fine Arts (MFA) or Master of Visual Arts (MVA) with a specialization in Painting (Highly Recommended for PGT level).

Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) / Bachelor of Visual Arts (BVA) from a recognized university.

B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) may be required depending on your specific school board regulations.

Key Skills:

Exceptional personal portfolio demonstrating mastery over diverse painting techniques and styles.

Thorough knowledge of Art History, traditional Indian art forms, and contemporary global art trends.

Strong classroom management and the ability to critique student work constructively.

Excellent communication skills to effectively deliver art theory lectures.
