Full job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee and manage the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, taxation, and compliance activities. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in accounting, preferably in the real estate industry, with strong knowledge of statutory compliance, financial management, and audit processes.

Key Responsibilities

Accounting & Financial Management

Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely recording of all financial transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial forecasts.
Perform account reconciliations, ledger scrutiny, and balance confirmations.
Ensure proper accounting of project-related expenses, revenues, and cost allocations.

Taxation & Compliance

Manage GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliances.
Ensure timely filing of tax returns and statutory reports.
Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, and government authorities.
Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and tax regulations.

Audit & Internal Controls

Assist in internal and statutory audits.
Develop and implement financial controls and accounting procedures.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Prepare schedules and documents required for audits and assessments.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Monitor vendor payments and customer receivables.
Verify invoices, payment vouchers, and supporting documents.
Ensure timely processing of payments and collections.

Team Coordination

Supervise and guide junior accounting staff.
Coordinate with various departments for financial and accounting matters.
Support management with financial analysis and decision-making.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Financial Reporting.
Expertise in GST, TDS, Income Tax, and statutory compliances.
Proficiency in Tally ERP, MS Excel, and accounting software.
Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and team management abilities.
Ability to work under deadlines and maintain confidentiality.

Preferred Experience

Experience in the Real Estate/Construction industry will be preferred.
Knowledge of project accounting, contractor billing, and cost control.
Experience handling audits, taxation, and compliance independently.

Candidate Profile

M.Com or CA Inter qualification is mandatory.
Minimum 15 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong understanding of financial management and statutory requirements.
High level of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail.
