About Position:
We are looking for an experienced Technical Validation Lead / SME to drive Security Testing, OS Patch Management, and Vulnerability Validation across enterprise environments. In this role, you will lead the end-to-end validation of Microsoft Windows OS patches and Trellix Antivirus updates to ensure system stability, application compatibility, security effectiveness, and zero regression impact before production deployment. The position requires strong expertise in Security Testing, OS Patch Management, and Vulnerability along with leadership capabilities to manage validation cycles and ensure compliance with SLA-driven patch timelines across PAN India.

What You'll Do:

Lead validation of OS patches and antivirus updates before production release

Define validation scope based on risk, business impact, and security priorities

Execute patch validation in lab/staging environments simulating production conditions

Validate system behavior including boot, login, services, and OS configuration
-
Perform application compatibility testing with DS Agile platform and business workflows
-
Conduct regression testing to ensure no impact on existing functionality
-
Validate security posture ensuring vulnerabilities are fixed and no new risks are introduced

Monitor system performance (CPU, memory, response time) for stability and degradation
-
Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA with root cause analysis
-
Generate validation reports, risk summaries, and provide Go/No-Go decisions

Align validation cycles with Patch Tuesday and ensure SLA adherence

Collaborate with developers, vendors, and cross-functional teams
-
Lead and mentor validation engineers, assign tasks, and track deliverables
-
Drive automation initiatives to improve validation efficiency and repeatability

Optimize validation processes and integrate continuous testing practices
Expertise You'll Bring:

Strong experience in Security Testing, OS Patch Management, and Vulnerability validation (Mandatory)

Hands-on expertise in Windows OS patching and enterprise security validation

Experience with Trellix/McAfee endpoint security tools and antivirus validation

Proficiency in working with SCCM / Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune)

Strong understanding of system logs, Windows Event Viewer, and troubleshooting

Experience in test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Excel

Hands-on experience with defect tracking using JIRA

Knowledge of virtual environments such as VMware or Hyper-V
-
Strong understanding of regression testing, application compatibility, and system validation

Ability to analyze performance metrics and identify system instability issues

Experience in leading QA/validation teams and managing deliverables

Familiarity with automation scripting and continuous improvement practices

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
