We need a developer who is equally confident building a WordPress brand site and a fully functional Shopify store — someone who can take a designer's vision and bring it to life without cutting corners.
What You'll Do
WordPress Development
- Build and customize WordPress websites from scratch and using page builders
- Develop custom themes and plugins tailored to specific client requirements
- Optimize websites for speed, Core Web Vitals, SEO, and mobile responsiveness
- Integrate third-party tools — CRMs, payment gateways, forms, and APIs
- Convert Figma and Adobe XD designs into pixel-perfect WordPress websites
- Maintain and update existing client websites — security, plugins, and backups
- Build WooCommerce stores — product setup, payment integration, and order management
Shopify Development
- Build and customize Shopify stores — theme development and customization using Liquid
- Develop custom Shopify themes from scratch or heavily customize existing ones
- Build and integrate Shopify apps and third-party tools — payments, shipping, CRM, and marketing
- Set up and optimize product collections, metafields, and store navigation
- Implement custom Shopify sections, blocks, and dynamic content using Liquid + JSON
- Optimize Shopify stores for speed, conversion, and mobile performance
- Handle Shopify API integrations — REST and GraphQL
- Migrate existing websites and WooCommerce stores to Shopify seamlessly
- Troubleshoot and resolve Shopify store issues quickly and efficiently
Both Platforms
- Collaborate with designers to implement UI from Figma mockups accurately
- Conduct thorough cross-browser and cross-device testing before launch
- Monitor and improve website performance using Google PageSpeed and GTmetrix
- Maintain clear project documentation and handover notes for every build
- Stay updated on WordPress and Shopify platform updates, new features, and best practices
What You Bring
Must-Haves
- 2–3 years of hands-on experience in both WordPress AND Shopify development
- Strong in PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript — core fundamentals non-negotiable
- Proficient in Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery for WordPress builds
- Strong knowledge of Shopify Liquid templating language — essential for this role
- Experience building and customizing WooCommerce stores
- Ability to integrate Shopify APIs — REST and GraphQL
- Experience converting Figma or XD designs into live, responsive websites
- Strong understanding of website performance optimization and SEO best practices
- Comfortable managing multiple client projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines
Nice-to-Haves
- Experience with Shopify Plus or headless Shopify builds
- Knowledge of React.js or Vue.js for headless WordPress or Shopify Hydrogen
- Experience with ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) for WordPress
- Familiarity with cPanel, hosting management, and domain configuration
- Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and conversion rate optimization
- Experience with Git and version control workflows
- Knowledge of Google Tag Manager and analytics implementation
