Job Summary
Michael Groups is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Web Developer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance web applications. The ideal candidate has strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and a passion for building scalable, secure, and user-friendly web solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy responsive web applications.
- Lead frontend and backend development projects from concept to production.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, project managers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
- Optimize applications for speed, scalability, and security.
- Review code, mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards.
- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and cloud services.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices.
- Stay updated with emerging web technologies and recommend improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5–8+ years of professional web development experience.
- Strong proficiency in:
- HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+)
- React.js, Angular, or Vue.js
- Node.js, PHP (Laravel), or ASP.NET Core
- RESTful APIs and JSON
- MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
- Experience with Git and collaborative development workflows.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
- Strong understanding of web security and performance optimization.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading development teams.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and web accessibility (WCAG).
- Experience with microservices architecture.
- Relevant certifications in cloud technologies or web development are an added advantage.
