Full job description

We are looking for a passionate and skilled PHP Laravel Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing web applications using the Laravel framework. You will work closely with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure web applications.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel.
Build and integrate RESTful APIs with third-party services.
Design and optimize MySQL databases for performance and scalability.
Write clean, reusable, secure, and well-documented code following coding standards.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues efficiently.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Participate in application architecture, database design, and feature planning.
Perform code reviews and maintain high code quality.
Optimize application performance, security, and scalability.
Use Git for version control and team collaboration.
Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Stay updated with the latest Laravel and PHP technologies and recommend improvements where applicable.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of PHP and the Laravel Framework.
Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and MVC Architecture.
Experience with MySQL and Eloquent ORM.
Hands-on experience in developing and consuming REST APIs.
Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery.
Experience with Git/GitHub and version control workflows.
Familiarity with Composer and Laravel Artisan commands.
Understanding of authentication, authorization, middleware, and validation in Laravel.
Basic knowledge of Linux server environments is an added advantage.
Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
1–3 years of hands-on experience in PHP Laravel development.
Experience working on live web applications.
GitHub profile or portfolio showcasing previous work will be an added advantage.

Preferred Skills (Good to Have)

Experience with Laravel Queues, Scheduler, Caching, or Redis.
Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, or AWS/DigitalOcean.
Experience with payment gateway or third-party API integrations.
Basic understanding of Vue.js or React is a plus.
