About SportSphere
SportSphere is a sports-tech platform focused on making sports facility discovery, booking, and management easier for players, sports enthusiasts, and facility owners.
We are looking for motivated QA Testing Interns who want hands-on experience in software testing and quality assurance while working on a real-world product.
This internship provides practical exposure to software QA rather than focusing solely on theoretical concepts. Interns will work directly with the SportSphere application and development team to test features, identify issues, and help improve product quality.
Role Overview
As a QA Testing Intern, you will work closely with the development team to identify bugs, verify new features, test application workflows, and improve the overall quality and reliability of SportSphere.
The role will involve testing real product features, documenting issues, performing regression testing, and collaborating with developers to verify fixes.
Training & Onboarding
The SportSphere team will provide the necessary training, guidance, and onboarding support to help interns understand:
- QA processes and workflows
- Testing methodologies
- Test case and test scenario creation
- Bug reporting and tracking
- Testing tools
- Product requirements
- SportSphere's application and user workflows
Responsibilities
As a QA Testing Intern, you will be responsible for:
- Performing manual testing of the SportSphere application.
- Testing new features and existing functionality.
- Creating and executing test cases and test scenarios.
- Performing functional, regression, UI/UX, and usability testing.
- Testing critical user workflows, including:
- Registration
- Login
- OTP verification
- Venue discovery
- Sports facility selection
- Booking
- Payments
- Cancellations
- Notifications
- Identifying, reproducing, documenting, and tracking bugs.
- Reporting bugs with:
- Clear steps to reproduce
- Expected result
- Actual result
- Severity
- Priority, where applicable
- Screenshots or screen recordings
- Performing regression testing after bugs are fixed.
- Testing the application across different Android devices and screen sizes where available.
- Verifying API responses when required.
- Collaborating with developers to understand and verify bug fixes.
- Participating in QA discussions and providing feedback on product quality.
- Maintaining test cases, testing documentation, and test reports.
- Supporting the team in maintaining overall application quality and reliability.
RequirementsRequired
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts.
- Basic understanding of test cases and test scenarios.
- Basic understanding of bug life cycle.
- Basic understanding of severity and priority.
- Basic understanding of SDLC and STLC is preferred.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to identify, reproduce, and clearly communicate software issues.
- Basic knowledge of mobile and/or web application testing.
- Good written communication skills.
- Willingness to learn and work with a development team.
- Must have an Android mobile phone for application testing.
Students, fresh graduates, and aspiring QA engineers are encouraged to apply.
Good to Have
The following skills are beneficial but not mandatory:
- Knowledge of Jira, Mantis, or similar bug-tracking tools.
- Basic API testing knowledge.
- Knowledge of Postman.
- Basic SQL knowledge.
- Basic Firebase knowledge.
- Understanding of browser Developer Tools.
- Knowledge of Android application testing.
- Familiarity with Selenium or Appium.
- Basic understanding of automation testing.
