Job Description: Solar Operations & Finance CoordinatorRole Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and analytical Solar Operations & Finance Coordinator to manage the end-to-end collection, project financing, and milestone tracking process for our solar installations. In this role, you will serve as the vital bridge between clients, banking partners, field staff, and internal business units. Your primary focus will be to ensure seamless fund disbursement, strict milestone tracking, and rapid payment resolution to optimize our working capital.
Key Responsibilities-
1. Loan Lifecycle & Payment Processing
- Manage and execute end-to-end solar project payment collections across various loan platforms, including PM portals and specific Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) portals.
- Liaise directly with banking institutions and coordinate field teams for physical bank visits to clear disbursement bottlenecks and finalize documentation.
- Establish and monitor practical banking disbursement structures, loan mechanics, and EMI setups for residential and commercial projects.
2. Milestone Tracking & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Partner with the Business Development and Sales teams to track project timelines immediately after token money is received.
- Coordinate closely with Technical and Project Management teams to track engineering milestones, including net metering approval, to unlock and secure final retention payments.
- Ensure 100% of the project payment collection is cleared and settled before moving forward with government subsidy applications.
3. Account Receivables & Portfolio Management
- Systematically track, monitor, and resolve both legacy (historical) and current outstanding pending accounts.
- Partner directly with clients to resolve billing discrepancies, manage collection schedules, and minimize outstanding day sales outstanding (DSO).
Must-Have Skills & Qualifications
- Industry Expertise: Solid understanding of Solar EPC project execution phases and how project financing/disbursements correlate with specific physical milestones on the ground.
- Data Proficiency: Strong proficiency in advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, conditional formatting) to track complex dependencies, aging schedules, and collection data.
- Leadership & Drive: Proven capability to operate as a strong team leader—guiding field staff, managing escalations, and driving cross-functional teams toward tight collection targets.
- Interpersonal Excellence: Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to professionally manage relationships with high-value clients, bankers, and senior internal stakeholders.
