About the role
Maintain and extend an existing engineering-based platform and application by delivering high-quality software solutions through programming and related activities, maintaining and developing solutions for allocated projects to support business initiatives and meet customer expectations. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within a team.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Familiarity with CPQ systems, ERP integration, and engineering/manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns.
- Experience with multi-threaded applications and performance optimization.
- Will have worked on low-level code that supports large application functionality.
- Will have experience with an application engine or platform with fine tolerances.
- Has experience with resource and memory management in complex / recursive code.
- Delphi experience is preferred, but applicants with strong engineering skills in C++, C#, .NET or other mainstream languages should also apply.
- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in software development, with recent work as above.
- Strong debugging skills and the ability to actively identify memory and resource issues.
Ability to discuss, design and write clean, well-structured, performant, secure code.

Key Position Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and maintain complex software solutions in Delphi and related applications.
- Debug and resolve issues across the full stack, including liaising with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in requirements analysis, solution design, and code reviews.
- Contribute to planning, estimation, and retrospectives within Agile sprints.
- Mentor and support other developers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Stay up to date with development tools and processes, actively seeking improvements.

Core Competency Requirements:
- Our products involve engineering-based calculations.
- Understanding of SQL databases (SQL Server and/or Oracle).
- Experience with source control tools (Git, TFS) and debugging/performance monitoring tools.
Ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively.

Preferred Certifications:
- Delphi Developer Certification (Embarcadero Certified Developer).
- Microsoft Certified: C#/.NET Developer.
- AutoCAD or Revit Professional Certification.
- Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP).
AWS or Azure Fundamentals (for cloud integration experience)
