Process and System Responsibility

Owns end-to-end O2C operational processes in the liaison & enablement scope, including demand intake, assessment, prioritization and routing.

Ensures Security Execution, Vulnerability Management and compliance with internal/external audit requirements for O2C systems.

Owns QA standards, test strategy and test management for O2C changes and releases, including DR testing and release coordination.

Oversees lifecycle and cost governance (system copies/refreshes, environments, MOD, cost transparency and allocation) in line with IT standards.
Leadership and Collaboration

Leads the O2C liaison, enablement and operations team, providing direction, coaching and day-to-day guidance.

Collaborates closely with key internal teams (e.g., AMS, security, architecture, platform, sector IT, business process owners) to ensure coordinated delivery.

Builds strong relationships with sector contacts, key users and IT stakeholders, fostering trust, transparency and collaborative problem-solving.

Aligns team objectives with O2C domain strategy, sector expectations and cross-stream (X-Steams) decisions while driving continuous improvement.

Is accountable for the liaison & enablement team’s results, impacting performance of related O2C teams through effective demand, capacity and change management.

Defines and tracks key KPIs (e.g., demand throughput, lead times, change success rate, capacity utilization, compliance) and drives performance improvements.

Develops and applies policies and guidelines to enhance operational efficiency and process consistency in O2C liaison and enablement.

Supports resource and capacity planning and provides regular reporting on demand, capacity and change status transparent.

Analyzes complex information (e.g., audit findings, security advisories, demand/capacity data, vendor input) to support sound decision-making.

Addresses operational challenges across demand, security, testing, release and lifecycle processes with sustainable solutions.

Resolves conflicts and bottlenecks related to capacity, priorities and release schedules across teams and sectors.

Balances sector urgency with risk, compliance and cost, using structured prioritization and supporting RCA and post-incident/release reviews.

Aligns sector needs with organizational capabilities and strategic priorities in the O2C domain, acting as key advisor on feasibility, impact and trade-offs.

Influences and collaborates with senior leaders and external partners on major O2C initiatives, cost implications and change portfolios.

Ensures that O2C demand and change portfolios adhere to cost, risk and compliance frameworks and related policies/standards.

Contributes to business and financial planning for the O2C IT landscape, including major releases, lifecycle upgrades, AMS and resourcing.
Performance, Problem and Stakeholder Management

Owns daily operational performance of the O2C liaison & enablement team, including demand handling and operational governance.

Sets clear objectives, manages performance and oversees reward outcomes in line with organizational policies.

Proactively manages stakeholder expectations across LS, IT DES, sectors and internal teams, ensuring transparent communication on priorities, risks, costs and timelines.

Acts as primary escalation point for O2C demand, capacity and change issues and ensures effective key user management and follow-up.
Technology Skills
-
Strong knowledge of SAP environments, especially SAP S/4HANA, SAP architecture/modules and their integration along the O2C value chain.

Deep understanding of SAP security and authorization concepts, including access control, authentication and data protection.

Hands-on experience with SAP security administration and risk management (roles/profiles, provisioning, policy maintenance, risk assessment) and relevant security/compliance standards (e.g., NIS, KRITIS, GDPR, SOX).

Proficiency with test and release management tools, ticketing systems, SAP security tools/transaction codes and ABAP for security-related custom solutions and troubleshooting
Scope of People Responsibility

Leads a team of O2C / SAP experts (10+ professionals), providing clear direction, mentorship and performance management.

Ensures a strong service and customer orientation within the team, with a focus on reliable, high-quality delivery to business stakeholders.

Collaborates with Human Resources to define talent needs, drive recruitment, support succession planning and build a sustainable talent pipeline.
