Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and passionate south Indian/North Indian/ Continental Cook to prepare high-quality dishes in accordance with hotel standards. The candidate should have good knowledge of continental cuisine, food safety, hygiene practices, and kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook continental dishes as per standard recipes.
- Ensure quality, taste, portioning, and presentation of food.
- Assist in mise en place and daily kitchen preparations.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the work area.
- Monitor food stock and inform seniors about shortages.
- Properly store food items according to safety standards.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Coordinate with other kitchen staff for smooth operations.
- Follow HACCP and food safety procedures.
- Minimize food wastage and maintain cost control.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Cook in hotels, restaurants, or cafés.
- Knowledge of all types of cooking, preferably south indian.
- Ability to work in shifts and under pressure.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
Qualification
- Diploma / Certificate in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years experience in a hotel or restaurant kitchen.
