The Role:
We are hiring Data Analysts and Senior Data Analysts to join Talentra in India, embedded full time with a leading global market research and insights firm. You will deliver high quality data processing, tabulation, and analytics as a fully integrated member of the client’s research operations team. Seniority reflects depth of experience and project complexity, not a different role.
Day to day:
- Process, clean, and tabulate research datasets across multiple concurrent projects.
- Run crosstabs, recoding, weighting, and data manipulation.
- Merge cases and variables across complex data files.
- Produce data tables, exports, charts, and visual deliverables for the delivery team.
- Apply quality controls and proofing before deliverables are released.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects against tight deadlines.
- Contribute to data standards, templates, and documentation.
- Senior: lead the most complex studies, set quality standards, mentor analysts, and own client facing data deliverables.
What we’re looking for:
- Data Analyst: 1 to 2 years of professional experience in market research data operations.
- Senior Data Analyst: 3 to 5 years, including ownership of complex projects.
- Hands on experience with Q (Q Research Software) is essential at both levels.
- Strong experience with data processing tools such as Decipher data tools or SPSS.
- Strong Excel skills: pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data manipulation.
- Knowledge of survey design, recoding, weighting, and data visualisation.
- Bachelor’s degree in statistics, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Desirable, not essential:
- VBA macros or Office Scripts for Excel automation (Office Scripts preferred).
- Programming knowledge in Python or R
What sets our best people apart:
- Clear, confident communication with technical and non-technical colleagues alike.
- A proactive mindset: you anticipate issues and act before being asked.
- Sharp attention to detail and a first-time right approach to your work.
- A continuous improvement mentality: you look for better ways to do things and raise them.
- A genuine client service orientation: responsive, reliable, and easy to work with under pressure.
Working arrangements:
- Remote, full time.
- Hours aligned to Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Why join Talentra:
You are a full time Talentra employee, not a contractor, with full benefits. You work as a dedicated, embedded member of one client’s team, which gives you the stability to build depth and ownership rather than rotating between short projects. Our leadership has spent decades running global market research operations across India, the US, the UK, and Canada. We invest in long term placements and support our people to grow.
