This position participates in the operational planning process and implementation of technical strategies for the coatings division at Sigachi, based out of the Dahej plant. This position interacts with other technical & commercial teams directly and customers indirectly to coordinate and leverage technical resources ensuring that the team has sufficient know-how, tools, and competency to support customer projects. The individual will support sales teams and customers with shade matching, shade development and coating trials at Sigachi lab.
- Respond to technical queries pertaining to Formulation technologies specific to MCC and grades along with new products including polymer blends and film coatings.
- Demonstrate film coatings at the Sigachi R&D facility.
- Oversee the samples management life cycle including sample requests, delivering samples at customer site, and report progress of the project.
- Coordinate with technical lab for the shade matching, new shade development.
- Review shade matching and shade development records along with shade cards and library to improve product development efficiency.
- Provide backend support to Techno-commercial managers to achieve business goals including sales targets and business development.
- Responsible for leading coatings laboratory and providing guidance to R&D lab and on-time and first time right (FTR) sampling.
- Travel as necessary for technical discussions.
Candidate Profile
- Acceptable good written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in preparing and presenting technical information internally and externally.
- Teamwork skills with ability to handle multiple projects at a time, ability to multitask, prompt decision making and problem-solving ability required.
- Project planning and/or excellent time and resource management skills/ prioritization processes.
- Demonstrated ability to function within a matrix organizational structure.
Job Specification:
Qualification – M. Pharm / B. Pharm. Ph.D. is preferred.
Experience:
- 10 to 14 years’ experience in pharmaceutical product development, product manufacturing (solid oral), Excipients BD/Sales, API, or related Industry.
- Coating and/or granulation experience mandatory.
- Color matching experience mandatory.
