Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager – Sports to drive strategic partnerships, insurance sales, and business growth initiatives within the Sports Medicine and Sports Injury ecosystem. The candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling specialized insurance policies for athletes and sports professionals, generating leads for Halt Sports Injury tie-ups, and building relationships with sports organizations, academies, associations, and corporate partners.
The ideal candidate should possess strong business development skills, excellent networking abilities, and a passion for sports and healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute business development strategies to promote insurance products tailored for athletes, sports professionals, and sports organizations.
- Identify, approach, and convert prospective clients for sports insurance policies.
- Generate leads and establish strategic partnerships for Halt Sports Injury Centre tie-ups with sports academies, clubs, federations, educational institutions, and corporate organizations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with coaches, athletes, sports administrators, physiotherapists, and healthcare stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Sports Medicine, Halt Sports Injury, and Marketing teams to support outreach and awareness initiatives.
- Organize and participate in sports events, conferences, workshops, camps, and networking activities to promote services and generate business opportunities.
- Develop and maintain databases of potential clients, sports organizations, and referral partners.
- Track sales pipelines, partnership opportunities, and business development activities through CRM and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with Digital Marketing teams to generate qualified leads and support conversion initiatives.
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, partnership agreements, and periodic performance reports.
- Support fundraising, sponsorship, and CSR partnership initiatives related to sports health and athlete welfare programs.
- Achieve assigned revenue, sales, and partnership development targets.
- This role requires regular local and outstation travel to meet stakeholders, generate business opportunities, and support partnership development activities.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, Marketing, Healthcare Management, Insurance, or related fields.
- Strong understanding of sales, business development, and relationship management.
- Knowledge of sports ecosystem, athlete management, sports medicine, or healthcare services will be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and networking skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM systems, database management, and reporting tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a target-oriented mindset.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, Insurance Sales, Healthcare Marketing, Sports Management, or related fields.
- Experience in insurance products, healthcare services, hospital business development, or sports industry partnerships is highly preferred.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing strategic partnerships.
