Job Details

Quality Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a company dedicated to innovation and quality, we are looking for an individual who can contribute to our success through advanced test automation skills and active participation in manual testing within an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities:

Advanced Automation Engineering:
Proficiently design, develop, and maintain complex automated test suites using Java and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Independently analyze automation frameworks, implement enhancements, and drive framework-level innovation.
Seamlessly integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
Strategic Testing Execution:
Conduct robust functional, integration, and system-level testing in various environments.
Lead regression testing initiatives to preserve software stability across releases.
Enforce high-quality engineering standards throughout the STLC and Agile product development cycle.
Collaborative Cross-Functional Leader:
Closely collaborate with developers and other teams for comprehensive test coverage.
Play a crucial role within the Scrum team, supplementing automation with hands-on manual testing.
Promote a quality-first mindset across development processes.
Process Optimization and Best Practices:
Establish testing standards and guidelines to elevate the team's practices.
Define and execute comprehensive test plans, aligning scope and strategies with project goals.
Proactively identify and implement process improvements for greater testing efficiency.
Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing:
Mentor junior testers, interns, and new team members, fostering knowledge sharing and development.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related field, with 7+ years of relevant work experience.

Core Technical Skills (Must Have):

Advanced proficiency in Java for Selenium and TypeScript for Cypress automation.
Experience working with Selenium and Cypress Automation Frameworks
Strong UI automation expertise with Cypress (E2E and Component UI Tests).
Deep understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
Comprehensive API testing mastery (REST, SOAP, Postman, Rest Assured).
Excellent SQL skills for data-driven testing and analysis.
Proficiency with version control (Git/GitHub/Bitbucket), Maven, and CI tools (Jenkins).

Leadership and Strategic Focus:

Proven ability to think strategically about testing processes, optimization, and defect management.
Experience leading test planning and crafting overarching test strategies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for root-cause analysis and solutions.

Continuous Learning and Development:

Demonstrated commitment to staying updated on industry trends and technologies.

Desired (Highly Valued):

ISTQB certification or other relevant certifications.
Advanced data-driven testing expertise across diverse sources (Excel, CSV, SQL).
Leadership in API testing (Rest Assured, SoapUI, Postman).
Experience in performance testing with tools like JMeter.
Strong understanding of DevOps environments and CI/CD tools.
Experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks.
Azure Cloud experience.
Hands-on experience using GitHub Copilot to accelerate automation development and improve code quality.
Ability to create and customize Copilot agents for test case generation, framework enhancements, and QA workflows.

Preferred Skills:

Strong proficiency in both Java and Typescript.
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and seamless integration of testing processes.
Knowledge of Spring Boot and Spring Test frameworks.
Experience with mocking libraries (Mockito, MVC Mock, WireMock).
Experience with Docker for test environments and CI/CD integration.
