Full job description

Location: Pune.
Experience: 5+ relevant years mainframe technical experience as a z/OS Systems Programmer
Qualification: BE / B.Tech / ME / M.Tech / BSc / MSc / BCA / MCA
Posting Date: 10-Jun-2026

Roles and Responsibilities

Works interactively with all project staff, both internal and Customer.
Performs and coordinates the Install, Configuration, Migration and Implementation activities of tools.
Contributes to Customer ready design documentation to support all Functional requirements, Technical Solution Design, Test Strategy and Deployment Plans.
Participating in project teams as subject matter expert, relating to the support of existing technologies, the selection and implementation of new technologies.
Experience in hosting applications in S3 Bucket.
Advises on updates to the Project or Service Schedule to the Project Manager, Practice Lead or Service Delivery Manager.
Recognizes customer requests that fall outside scope of the SOW or any new opportunities and brings it to the attention of the Project Manager/Practice Lead for further review.
Successfully moves Customer into production on the target solution, transitioning the project to closure with both the customer and teams.
Support disaster recovery/business continuity programs as directed.
Communicate effectively with R&D users and management at all levels.

Requirements:

Working in services or projects, preferably customer facing in a professional consultative capacity.
Working as Source Code Management administrator.
Experience in z/OS operating system and program product installs, SYSPLEX, system configurations, upgrades, user mods/exits, in large complex environments. Strong experience with SMP/e, testing and deployment strategies, problem determination and resolution.
Consultative skills with customers when driving deliverables and setting priorities.
A self-starter, willing to work without a net with a proven ability to meet assigned timelines with high quality, complete deliverables in unsupervised, often remote, situations.
Willingness to mentor, share ideas and knowledge with other colleagues promoting best practices.
Demonstrated success in building key relationships in the past with sales, Technical Support, Application Teams and Product Engineering.
Knowledge of asynchronous patterns, promises.
Mainframe Source Code Management expertise as administrator, specifically BMC ISPW software.
Strong experience with install and configuration of software products, BMC, IBM, Micro Focus and CA-Broadcom SCM products
Strong experience in TSO, ISPF, JCL, REXX, CLIST.
Automation tools like Jenkins for CI/CD Pipeline automation.
